another pro sport player hope play poker after his carriere end so now many sport players will play poker and we will have really more fun games to watch
Buffon is a great goalkeeper and he's very loved in Italy. Don't know if he really will play poker ( Totti, Party testimonial doesn't play, I can say it for sure ) but it's a good partnership.

Gianluigi Buffon was really one of the best goalkeepers in the world and probably he still is one of the best. I don`t know about he`s poker skills but probably this deal with PS it`s just for publicity.

Lol i know it's Buffon but never knew his name was Gianluigi ... What a weird name kinda hard to say that in my language. I would like to see how he plays poker.
Yeah for sure but as he said, he likes to play the game and surely will play for fun rather than the money... BUT you never reject the chance to win BIG extra money if you'll be sponsored to play the 10k WSOP main event, don't you?

didnt they do this before... signing a footy star or was it an american footy star....? im not sure. Still i bet it gets a lot of news coverage and thus generate plenty of advitising for then... a good little gimic to boost the PS portfolio...hahaha But seriously if he can play decent poker then good luck to him. It doesnt say how much he'll be getting for it..... Next thing you know they'll be hiring Gordon Brown....hahahahaha im sure he can hold two cards in the same hand.

I didnt know PokerStars were also signing up celebrity amateurs. I mean, this is really looking good for the site and for the game as a whole, to have professional athletes sign up to play for a particular site means that either they are dedicating some serious time in the game, or that they have a big interest in it.

he doesnt have many years left as a goalkeeper and this is a nice deal for both of them, though would be interesting to see if he is any good at poker.
