Time has come to make a small adjustment to the points one can receive when posting in our forum. As of now, 15.000 posts have been made, where 18% was in offtopic forum and worth 5 points each (if the posts are not soo short) and the other 82% (12.300 posts) were made in forums giving 10 points each, if posts were not too short either.
New points are as follows: Post in forum - 8 points Post in offtopic - 3 points
We thought about more advanced solutions, like:
1) Only giving points to users with 50-100 total posts (for example), but this might keep newcomers away from the forum, and those who wants to spam, will just spam to reach 50-100 posts and start earning points anyway.
2) Only awarding points for the first 10 posts each day, so if a user makes 25 posts a day, only 10 of them will be awarded with points (if they are long enough of course).
3) A combination of the two above.
But we went with the simple solution, as we still believe everybody should be able to earn points for serious posting, and simply lowered the points a bit.
The Mob Points system were NEVER intended to be used only for the forum, only as a bonus to the real Mob Points business (referring players using your affiliate account).

Admin if by any way i have influenced this decision, i will gladly keep my posts to a 10 post minimum. Other than that, i am glad to see that you will still reward users for their contributions, (something that i do not understand but appreciate) it is something that BRM is kind enough to offer, and something that i do not wish to abuse. There is no question regarding this, however, it think the best option would be points for the first 25 posts. as lowering the number of points earned will just make them post much more. I think we should have a poll about this. i'll definitely vote for the first 25 posts.

We will of course adjust accordingly if it turns out that lowering points didn't help (prevent) in any way

the things are mooving pretty fast posting 25 will cut us from points (me and fodz mostly ) but well for some preventing of pointshunters i will agree .. its better for all of us and i think some combination would be best way

Man, this will hurt me even more as my referrals are not being paid due to the referral points being based by country..... i guess i'll just have to work harder. BTW i just got another buddy of mine signed up level 1, no points though

I do not wish to cause any problems what so ever but from what i can see, some people are taking advantage of this whole points system. This is something that has been given to promote proper posts, not a means to come into extra cash. This is abusing of the generosity of BRM, Not only are they providing everyone with free bankrolls but they also have casino bonuse's and bingo bonuse's. In the short time that i have been here i have seen way too many complaints about points, referrals & bankrolls eg ohh my country is not accepted not fair whinge whinge whinge. BEGGERS cant be CHOOSERS. ADMIN if it were up to me i would remove this whole program of rewarding posters, im a member at 2 other forums and i post as much there are as i do here with no rewards. This is one way of finding out who is a loyal and true poster for BRM and who does the fake posts to get some extra cash.
ADMIN: i will continue posting whether you 'PAY' me or not and to prove this i will refund all my mob points back to BRM if you wish.

I think that this is a great idea! maybe it should be even lower just 5 points pr. post no matter where... the forum suffers alot from rediculus posts... Good job admin

who, as you can c, are the top 5 posters in the forum, to be Forum Moderators...
OR
The Admin could pick up ppl who wants to do the reading and give like 2~4 hours a day reading the stuff and moderating things, Then we would make all decisions of deleting posts by moderators to be justified why they deleted it, good justifications of course, and we would have a forum for members to talk about the moderator if he or she is not doin so good...
Every Moderator coul "win" a number of mobpoints for doing such an important job, and that, maybe, would not even Give less points to the members, becouse the mobpoints ppl would receive for bad posts would be received by the moderators, BUT the forum would become much better for the quality point of view....

i haven't posted much, but i think i will start posting more in the forums... i don't really care about that you lower the points. i think it's great that we get rewarded at all so there isn't really much to complain about i'd say=D

Well, as long as this keeps the site going from bankrupt from all the people who have posted. Id much rather have this site, than get 10points per post. I dont disagree with your new adjustment. I think you chose the safer route that will keep people posting.
If you did the 10 posts for points I would say many people might just post those 10 posts and be done for the day. and this forum wouldnt grow.
