I sure hope that some of you guys, especially the top leaderboard players, are betting for real as well and not only in our free betting game. Here's why...
Take for instance the current leaderboard leader, mirceasas, with 6400 points on the leaderboard. If we *assume* he placed two bets on each of the 17 settled matches so far, that's 100 points * 34 bets = 3400 points invested. He currently has 6400 points, a profit of 3000 points.
If we replace "100 points per bet" with "$10 real money per bet", he would have made a profit of $300 so far.
Not bad - I hope all of you can be able to keep that up

As for me, I dont do any sports betting at all except I bet some money (small amounts) to UFC fights, but thats only because I feel confident myself on that field.
As soon as I started playing poker, I havent touched any casino slot games or any betting sites. Nothing but poker is holy for me .

Yep, I'm doing a few bets, but I'm doing them locally. I may get some of them into UBet or something FWIW I'm topping the leaderboard at my office, with a prize that's really attractive (won't spoil it )

That world cup is sick as hell , i alrd lost cash with England&Spain... i am sure i will not bet anymore on that crap ^^. Yes u can look 1 guy won 300$ but think guys how much people lost here... it could go with thousands for sure. :<

To me there doesn't seem to be much skill in this. I don't know much about football but I'm playing cos it's free and makes the football a little more exciting. But even I can tell that some of these games no one could have predicted. Since you get less points for voting on the favourite there's no skill in guessing who should win but you have to get lucky and hope the fav has an off day so you can rake in those long odds points.
Not how you would bet in real life but even so unless you can see something the bookies don't, unless you dream about the shock games before they happen, there really is no sure way to make money this world cup. Since there are so many surprising goals it is probably safer to bet on an overall winner. But the way it is at the moment that could be hard to guess.
I just make halftime (always a X) and over/under bets...have realized that i didn't tilt on these bets and that the Variance isn't hitting me so hard there...

Yep i've signed up to partybet and i've had some winners and loosers. But i'm down about £50 at the mo but thats due to Englands poor performance...why is it you always bet on your home team, the team that causes all the heart ache in the first place... you still think they have it in them to make you a profit...? well i do anyway..lol GO SERBIA nice1 shaded My dads had a better result at this world cup than i have.......and he hates football, betting on a match defenatly makes it more interesting and enjoyable.....is that wrong? WHo cares anyway a few quid here a few quid there....as long as you dont go nuts, I dont think you could afford to during this world cup any way as many underdogs are not laying down to the big boys...many upsets still to come i feel. GO SERBIA......

never. Soccer is somehow unpredictable.... Just little money sometimes with friends for a little fun. But never with the intention of winning money

i try to bet on some the games but they just end in draw not my team won i loose some in this kind off the sport but bet on tennis there our lithuanian star won and i win more then loose on wc betting

I think that betting is a good way to support BRM... and some fat guys called bookmakers. but i prefer poker, where your chance to win depends on your skills, characters and luck, not others
