Ok so Ive been playing in PartyPoker for the past couple of weeks. Prior to that I had been playing on pokerstars and fulltilt. In my opinion PartyPoker is of an inferior quality. Why? To me it seems that some of the hands dealt are far too unrealistic. For instance, in the past two weeks on PartyPoker I have seen two royal flushes, several fours of a kinds, and have been personally ousted hundred of times when Ive had the best hand on the flop.
Now I might be moaning and my game play leaves more to be desired. But holy s**t man, in the past year playing fulltilt and pokerstars I havent seen any royal flushes and only a handful of four of a kinds. Seems to me that there is one hand on every game thats preprogrammed to win. There random number generator was probably developed by a second year undergrad at university. Im never playing PP again.

you've only been playing on PP for two weeks. no offense, but seriously, with that sample size you have no fkn idea what you are talking about.
I once downloaded an iPoker skin, with a NDB and that night I received quads four times, seen 3 other quads, and also saw 2 straight flushes, all within the same tourney. Now the thing is, that was an iPoker skin, so all the number generating is done by the iPoker network, not the indivdual skins. Now, I've played iPoker plenty of times, so I knew this was just a strange night, not the norm.
If however, this wasn't part of the iPoker network, but instead a room with its own traffic (like PP), then if I took your view, the room would have been rigged, because I saw so many crazy hands in one night.
Fact is, millions of people play online poker and some of them are gonna see some crazy s**t, the last 2 weeks it was you. But that doesn't mean the party poker number generator is bunk. You just happened to see a few big hands in a couple week time period. Big whoop.

Yeah, I'm in on your wiew, Jess. Any combination of cards can come up on any occation. So it would actually be quite odd if the strange s**t did NOT happen every once in a while.
If the cards came up "normal" every time, I would be the first one to stand up and scream: "THIS S**T IS RIGGED!!!"
Edit: Although, I have to admit, that when the strange things happen, one does scream at an uninterested wife saying: "Can you belive this s**t??!!"

Lol I like Party poker I usually play there not poker but Betting .. great support and fast cashouts.
I don't which is exactly the method that PartyPoker uses to generate random numbers. As far as i know, Pokerstars uses the noise in a closed room. Of course a pure method is impossible in this world thus randomness only exists in a theoric world. PP method may be worst than PS' but it doesn't imply that combination like royal flush or quads appear often.

but to be fair you have only been playing there two week unlike most players here who have played there for years with profit and disagree with what you have to say, would you be saying all this if you are winning too???

I constantly hear of people complaining about the random generators in poker. I find it ridiculous. The large poker sites can surely be trusted to provide a game, which is as fair as possible, and as long as it doesn't give any player an advantage who cares anyway. I agree that seemingly long periods of unusual hands can be explained with variance.
However I agree with the op that party poker sucks. Just for other reasons. The software annoys me and I find the players there don't know how to fold. I've been playing there cos they've offered me some very large bonuses to entice me back but with the killer rake and frustrating play, combined with risky bankroll management I've found myself tilting away all the bonus I have.

Heres why. Pokerstars = Poker only Full Tilt = Poker only PartPoker = shead load of gamblers, with bing, casino, sportsbets etc etc, now they can all transfer money quite easily from account to account, so if they want to play a bit of poker they wont wait to download a new room and do all the checks the gamblers stay at Party *
So in conclusion if you dont see my point, PS and FT tend to have more serious players, they spot a Royal flush or quads etc and know the thier hand is not worth playing so fold and no sowdown, PartPoker players GAMBLE and showdowns are more frequent so the big hands show more.

ipoker sites was more strange with dealing system but also party poker had the most really weak and sick dealing system too they alloud to many donked wins there one can put all in with 3-2 and he really easy take the win he have about 50 % to win then saw before flop ak in over hand becouse flush or straight is allowd here and really 50 % i can count i personally try one time pla here all hands all in and played 57 hands till i out so its really was scared me from this dealing system ......

The PartyPoker RNG is operated by robot space goats. They choose the next card based on the outcome of each shot in game of inter-galactic billards. For example, if someone "snookers" someone else behind a red-dwarf on the outer reaches of a galaxy, the next card will be the 7 hearts.
In this sense, it is totally random and fair, however as any game of billiards (bar or inter-galactic) involves an element of chaos-theory, bad beats can and do happen . . . in almost every hand.
This is most noticeable when someone pulls off a trick shot - e.g potting 6 planets into different black holes - which results in your opponent hitting a runner runner royal flush even though they only started with the 6 and 9 of clubs.

If you think PP is "rigged", you have to re-read strategy articles or stop playing PP. A "huge" poker site like that can't be "rigged". Does anyone remember the PitbullPoker site ? They had got "superplayers" who could see the hands of other players ...

I think you're thinking of UB/AP Poker, who had the superusers.. Although pitbull may have as well, although they were mostly just dodgy all round. But it was UB/AP the made the massive pokernews. Anyone who thought pitbull was legit was crazy anyway. That site was dodge as fuk.
Neither of these cases proved to be a "rigged" site mind. Not in the "action flop" theory sense anyway, or in any other way that means the RNG is rigged. In the UB/AP case it was a matter of individuals cheating by means of system access (i.e; employees). It wasn't that the actual site itself was rigged.
But never sober...
