Pokerstars looking out for their customers!  +1
Hey guys. Below is an email I recieved today from Pokerstars. I never thought this would happen to me.
------------------

Hello,

PokerStars has become aware of a group of players who were working together in our Double or Nothing (DONs) tournaments to the detriment of other players. You were involved in at least one tournament with these players and as a result you may have been adversely affected.

The players' accounts were closed and their funds frozen pending a thorough investigation, which is now complete. Those players have now been barred from PokerStars.

In a case such as this it is our policy to confiscate the colluders' winnings or balances and to distribute them to the players affected by their actions in as fair a way as possible. To confirm your credit, go to the 'Cashier' screen and click the 'History' button. Your share will be shown "ADMIN CREDIT", followed by the amount of the credit.

The integrity of the games at PokerStars is of paramount importance to us and we will not abide cheating or collusion in our games. We work hard to police our games and prevent such instances. In the rare cases where collusion has actually occurred, we make sure that any players affected are compensated appropriately.

Thank you for your continued play here on PokerStars. Please do not hesitate to let us know any time we can be of help.

Kind Regards,

PokerStars Game Security

So I logged into Pokerstars, and they have actually credited me $12.91.
Nice to know not all gaming sites are crooked after all Smile

More like cover thier ass.
Before trackers were common if a cheater was caught then that was it, site keeps the money.
Now when a cheater is caught their names are spread far and wide and all you have to do is go in to your tracker and search the user name.
I find it odd that they could not do this befor trackers became common.
So "looking out for their customers" nahh, covering thier ass.
Calling themseves Game Security is a joke too, as all they do is sit and wait for complaints, they should have systems in place..
If the users cash out before getting collerd, you get no money and probably no email.
You can bet your ass outher cheaters are not as dumb as these guys and will cash in and out daily.
Pokerstars..well not saying they are crooked, same goes for fulltilt for that, but as far as im aware they have both been slapped for setting up bots..
I bet you lost more than $12.91 to them, but enjoy what you got back.
GL.

I doubt I lost more than $12.91 to them. These past 2 weeks I've played only about 10 $5 DoN's and lost just 1. $12.91 is also an odd number to me, but I'm not going to write them back and make further inquries. It was just a nice email to get.

B1gfoot, you call it covering their ass, I call it looking out for their customers. In the end it boils down to the same thing, since looking out for customers is pretty much synonymous to covering ones ass.

Do you play Pokerstars? You can only cash out minimum 48 hours after your initial deposit, so daily cash-in and out is not possible.

Seems to me you have a chronic problem with online poker companies, so my advice to you would be not to play, since its pretty clear that your trust level is minimal.

I hadn't played Poker for quite some time. As you see I'm an old member here but I recently came back around the same time I started playing online again. I've been on a small winning streak since 2 days ago where I deposited $17.50 and brought it up to $162. So I haven't noticed any foul play at any tables I've played at. All I am saying is that this was a nice email and a nice gesture from Pokerstars since I logged on and my account now shows $175.
So maybe I have, or haven't lost more than $12.91 to these people but I couldn't really care less since I've most likely taken more from them in the long run seeing as I have boosted my initial deposit tenfold Smile

Maybe I'm just one of those few people who haven't had any bad experiences on Pokerstars, and if I have, I'm not too quick to blaim it on them (losing streak, cold cards, outdraws all the time, I've tried all of that). I just play my game, cash in, cash out, and leave the bitching to other people.

Yer I play there, and never had any problems with them.
All im saying is its not that thy want to, its that they have to.
Did you see the lates big scam there? They were not going to pay out, but were forced to.

Heres the short story, a group of Chinese Players were colouding at SNGs (DoNs I think) they managed to net around $750,000 from players, did the site spot them, NO!, it was the players, after PS looked in to it they freezed the accounts wich had around $10k of winnings in, or enought to play for the day with.
As they were not stupid they cashed out when they could.(just a guess butt id say they cash out winnings daily and leave in a playable amount)
All im saying is if it was up to PS, just like back in the old days you would have got nothing.
Its not a chronic problem I have, im just not blind to what goes on, i would only quite if I was a losing player, reguardless of how the sites are willing to cheat and let you be cheated as long as they are getting thiers.
These sites would see you on the streets if it was making them money, dont think for 1 moment they actually care about you.

Whilst we are on the chat of cheats, any users of PS check your trackers for 7emenov, bakabar, crazier, mvra, nakseon, kozzin, demidou, koldan, Daergy, and feidmanis <<< they are all bots, that PTR foun and reported, PS said they were looking in to it but did not want to "spook" them.

It's nice to see that you were compensated for it. Unfortunately collusion is a big problem in online gambling and it'll probably get worse before it gets better. I'd like to see all the poker sites form a public general registry of ALL known cheaters with there real identities attached. There's a very good chance that cheaters in online poker are cheats in everyday life as well and it would be nice to have a heads up.
