I'm currently running at +17.44BB/100 playing NL2,NL4 and NL10 6max tables at Williams while @ FTP it's around -2BB/100.

I never understand why people play at tough sites like Full Tilt and Stars, when they have the option to play at Ipoker or Ongame.

Well, I am thinking of joining FTP or something similar although I have an account on a smaller sized room and I am relatively successful there. My reason - I want to play against decent players so I can improve my game and leave micro stakes once and for all.

Most play the game for fun, some grind the game for profit, some play the game for the thrill of playing crap hands that have a slim chance in hell of winning. There will always be someone willing to gamble with terrible odds no matter the stakes. So stick with a plan that works for you and hope for the best. To much time played at the micro's is not very healthy either, it tightens you up and never really allows you to adjust your game to solid "Raising players", instead your always in a coin toss for $2 with a pushin fool.

GLE1... Thumbs Up

exactly, there will always be gamblers which is very nice if u have the patients to wait for profitable hands to play. unfortunatly the low level tables r filled with many newbies and the chance for a suckout is much higher than in the higher limits. just deal with that and until ur bankroll is high enough u will have to learn fishing Smile

microstakes are just a pain in the ass.
You have to face so many suck outs because there are so many fish or players who tilt away their last money it is no fun at all to play there. You cant even play decent poker, because you get called anyway. Bluffing is almost no option at those levels.
I hate nothing more than micro-stakes.
for me micros are like playing a rebuy tourney with low buy in in the first hour or a 100$freeroll for with 3k players.

I've been thinking that actually those micro stake tables marked as "beginner" are worst places to start, because they are great places for advanced player do multitabling just waiting for some ignorant fish to go all-in with a bluff hand. I found the NL0,02/0,04 NL0,05/0,10 much easier to cope.

you play on micro stakes if your bankroll is low ofcourse,so you dont have much option!if you earn money in some time, you will try in higher level and their wouldnt be so much donks and other bingo players who would pay on anything!so first step to try to earn some money and raise level on stakes!

I personally don't see how some of you guys hate micros. You have explained that they have no idea how to play poker and that there are tons of suckouts. That is very much true, but that only makes it easier for good players who can handle some variance. If you know they won't fold, then just bet with good hands and win. If they suckout, then too bad but in the long run your expected value is higher than his. If I find a player who obviously doesn't understand the basics of poker, I milk him out of his money for as long as he allows me to. If the newbie manages to win a few bigger hands, excellent! Now he has "proof" that his tactics are working and will play even worse.

Maybe they are applying shortstake strat, as soon as they make profit they leave the table and rebuy somewhere else for 20BB. Big Smile
