Posted by SuperNoob: So i was watching tht skypoker channel few days back and they were discussing this situation (except the gimmicks ):
u are playing on final table of wsop main event ( ok u can stop daydreaming now )
first hand u are big blind and when u peek at ur cards, u find it hard to believe u been dealt aces but no1 seems interested in calling and they all fold to small blind , who without any hesitation shoves all his stack into pot. ( yeah the cards u saw were urs only, not his and no u cant request a drug test on him)
ok now the serious question: wud u call his allin raise with ur AA ?
Yes/No and Why/Whynot
************************************************ btw they had a poll somewhere and 76% ppl opted for call
A nice poll, BUT, is this the right question.
I think, no way to fold ON the FT AA, but...
If there are only 10 players left, you have AA at late position or blinds, you are Midstacked, 1 small stack is still alive, and the Bigstack pushes All IN ...
So you know, you have the best hand, you will be favorite in anyway, but, but IF you lose this single hand, you will not be at November9... and the smallstack will be there, rich and famouse... , if you fold, you will be for sure at the FT, but of course with a small/midstack...

You have a huge chance of a juicy Double Up which will boost your chances of conquering the title. Why folding? Calling with that AA will give you a far higher expected value than just waiting for one opponent to be eliminated.

Preflop AA is huge favorite, and you have the chance to go from mid-stack with some tough decisions coming your way soon, to become a big stack entering the final table. No brainer. CALL!

on this huge tournament I couldnt fold AA!on what I would pay if I fold AA !on something must play and this is best starting hand!if I am so unlucky to lose on AA if somebody pay on some stupid cards, then so be,but I would know that he gave me something, didnt be eaten from blinds!

No brainer call... your playing tournaments to win a tournament now to get to final table. If you loose s**t happens but if you even get to the november nine and you killed a camera guy and they didn't saw what u had u would still be thinking for years did i done the right thing? And also if you busto 9 first at FT you would feel much worser by that. Play for win always. (ok i could fold it if 5 players would go all-in)

Hi,the same situation I had in daily$ when I was 10.place only i had KK,I was raise 3 or 4 BB and guy follow me then I raise half my stack he paid and before river i go all inn and he pay,he had 2 and 5 in hand(don't know how he follow me with that)and at the end on river he got streight or flush don't remember(i made thread about that)and I finished at 10.place,worste is that I have been at 3rd or 4th position before that hand,I want shoot myself in head, with tiny play I will finish at 4th place because 5 players had 1/5 amount of chips I had

Posted by BadeaCelRau: My record with AA all-in preflop isn't great so I would fold it definetely.
and on what you would pay then if you fold AA?if you come on this positio you would let go and now paying on this, dont understand!on something you must pay, cant wait that blind kill you and lose beacuse you dont want to pay on best starting hand!

Fair enough if there was a sick flop u might have to make a lay down, but no way preflop would you fold the aces?? You will more than likely win this hand and double up, meaning you have twice as good of a chance now of winning the real prize and being a lot more famous
