Hi all, I just recently recieved the players only no deposit bonus and recieved the 5000 vip points (and i hope I am posting this in the correct forum) but I was wondering if anyone else has used this offer or one similiar to this kind of bonus and what type of games you would play to meet the bonus requirements. I see that some games have points on them, but do you win points for ranking in games also? Again hope this is in the correct forum, as I am looking for some strategic advice here and would appreciate any advice on making the best of this offer that i am very grateful for getting!!

you can turn your VIP points into poker dollars and play in real money tournaments....all ya do is go to PLAYER ADDMIN at the bottom of the lobby...and press it.......then go to VIP exchange and you'll see where ..But I have applied to the same bonus....And have not received it yet....Can you tell me how long it took you to get it?

hi madblues. first of all sorry for the answers so far. don't see how they have been very helpuful and I hope you'll stick with us. Not many ppl here at the weekends so you might have to wait for a good answer to the question. I didn't reply sooner cos maybe i'm not the best to answer but i'll try my best.
I've not taken this bonus and I don't know players only so I can't say my advice is the best. But I find that it is better to focus on making longterm profit rather than complete a difficult bonus or seek reward from a promotion. So in other words play games you can win before games that reward you points.
When you want to complete a bonus to the full extra money it is usually very hard without a lot of luck, without breaking the rules of brm, and only playing tourneys. Points are usually based on rake and so tourneys cannot give you a bonus in such a limited time. (Where you finish in tourneys is insignificant in terms of points)
If i received a no deposit bonus today (regardless of what i already have and know) I would play reasonable cash games with blinds .10/.25. This isn't usually good bankroll management with the little starting fund you are given but micro limits are so full of fish i find it's impossible to play poker. If you make any profit at all (more likely than not but swingy enough for the best poker player in the world to crash out) then keep playing at the same level. Do not increase the level of blinds until you have at least 15 buy-ins. As hard as this seems and you are very unlikely to complete a bonus at this rate, sustainable profit and steady bankroll management are more important than completing a bonus. Most people will not achieve their bonus unless they are full time committed players or very lucky.
So sorry I cannot give you specific advice for players only but I would advise you to stick to what you are good at, don't worry about completing bonuses or making profit, enjoy the poker and the challenge (maths and logic) begin with poor bankroll management if you have no choice but quickly adapt if you want to make regular profit, and read lots of threads here for advice on how to play poker.
If there's anything you don't understand ask away. Poker takes a lot of learning and getting used to no matter how many people say it's all luck. If this is your first bonus do not expect to make a profit though it's not impossible. Hope you find all this helpful.

There is an option to convert the points to cash, im not sure if you will be able to do that. If not then the only options available to you is to play tournaments, it seams to be garentee games only, they start at $1 might even be some smaller ones. When you look for a game you will know that you can play by the blue ? next to the BI fee in the tournament lobby for that game. If I was you id be playing the ladies only tourns, nice overlays and cheap so lots of games to play, big +EV. You should win real $ for those game that you make the money, and there seams to be no requirements, any money won is yours. GL

i would reccomend double up tourneys! at moicrostakes there not very profitable but very easy to continuously break even while your points go up! u also pay a lot to the house so u get a lot of points for them. hope it helps anyway

Thank you all for replying and the advice! I greatly appreciate it Regarding the lady's only tournys I have seen them on there, but have been unable to register for some reason, maybe I will contact support to get the info on that. Again thank you..and if I dont achieve the bonus, that is quite all right to, the experience, the ability to try new sites and see where I would like to actually make a deposit to is a bonus within itself! Hope to talk to you all again soon-and maybe see ya at some tables! Take care!

I think I may have over indulged alittle to much in a few bounty tourny's lol...but I am doing ok yet. I have been playing alot of those vip sit n gos, but thinking I am going to put a chunk in one of those bigger tournys and see what happens, like I said, above all I have gotten to check out a new site and gain experience-its a win/win situation. Thank you all for the advice tho, as I really didn't understand how that point system worked..and I'm sure I will have questions again in the future..so u guys rock--(well to all the very respectable ones in this thread, you know who u are! )
