I was totally frustrated with the on purpose slow play of this player, has anyone else experience this players play? In 5 years of playing a ton of tourneys I have never experienced anyone who did this on purpose for so long...If the slow play was a result of making a decision, but he did it every hand????Also, this guy had the nerve to berate people at the table for winning a race....hhaha..I would like to hear from other players and wonder if there is anything we can do about this guy?

If it's in a live game, you can punch them in the head.. I don't know exactly what you are thinking you can "do about this guy" regarding somebody 'slowplaying' online.. So long as they aren't breaking any rules, there is very little you can do other than avoid & ignore.

I have met a player like this in a cashgame. He/She even missed out on a few hands, because of waiting a split of a second too long. I changed tables pretty fast. But in a tourney that can't be done, which is very fustrating.
I have read a couple of pokerbooks, and in one of them (can't remember which) is an example of a person that plays in this fashion in a tournament, driving all the other players crazy, and eventually winnig the tournament.
My guess is that it is a pretty fresh player (since I doubt he/she is mutlitabling) that has read that very same book. And an idiot.
yes, when you playonline poker for some time you get into a groove and like to sit on a table (tournament) that has a good flow of consistent play, we all run in to the odd numpty and I have had this at some STGs , certain players may do it when they have a big stack just to use the clock, others well they can do it because they want to get under your skin,, some because they are multi-tableing , perhaps the latter is most frequent if he was multi-tableing you can use this to your advantage early by being aggressive, if he was doing it to get under your skin dont let it happen , sip your coffee or beer whatever you fancy, have a smoke if you must but after years of the habit I have eventually managed to stop so dont reccomend that,,gl at the tables, its all in the game

nothing you can do about it..especially during tourneys, some short stacked players would slow down the game if the money bubble is near..letting the other short stacked players in the other tables bust out first...
i actually have been in a table where one of the short stacked players in the field got help from almost everyone in our table...he was chatty and everbody seem to like him so everyone used the clock before making a decision and then folding to him when he's on the blinds...it was just a freeroll for a 1k weekly tourney but still...he was really happy.he made it to the weekly, barely making it...funny.
but if what you're telling us is that he slow played from the start, then that's a different story.and still nothing you can do about it....hard to complain if there's no violation of the rule...

been there they are trying to get under your skin looks like it worked . just ignore there style and hope they are moved soon if you say anything at the table it just confirms that it works to get you off your game

"Kondylom" is the name of a STD in Sweden. Not that it has anything to do with this, but it sounds a bit alike. And is (I've been told) a real bitch to accounter...

yep i use the clock when getting close to the bubble and things are tight between me making the money or not ........ u would be surprised how many bigger stacks end up slugging it out and busting and then u end up cashing ... stars have a great long timer so make the most of it ... cashed two mtts today thanks to using the timer to the max and even managed to ladder a couple of levels ...
