i was thinking how the heck have i missed this ...... Confused
then i looked up and its in the rummy forum for some reason.....
should be in the poker forum Smile

on topic this is pretty sick winning all that money and might not even get it..
ive read on other forums, people saying that he was bragging about the win and local newspaper went to him and found out that he was 17 then his account details got change to his dads,
it wasnt him playing but his dad bla bla bla....
he lied about his age full stop even bragged about on a forum asking for help,
then it was too late the site found out...............
just checked his stats zeurrr from hero to zero, well his stats still show the 500k win Big Smile
in the end he broke the number 1 rule age limit, so i dont think he will get the money,
even thou his dad is saying its his account,
but at first the account was in his sons name, no getting outa this one
to get the money............ i think this should be called a bad beat Big Smile

Agreed, PS rules state that no one under the age of 18 can play, well he proved them wrong, also shows that PS is not too good at knowing peoples age etc untill they win a big prize.
My thinking is If he cant have the money then no one should, his involvement in the game affected all the outher players, he should not have been able to play, but he was and did, keep the money as a happy b-day gift.

Rules are rules and its very fair he didnt get any money, some people simply have to learn the hard way that you have to obey the game rules. In my opinion his lucky pokerstars isnt suing him for fraud, but that would just be too bad publicity ...

Too many young ones having problems following the laws and rules today ...

Shouldn't have been playing end of. If you wanna play for real money, you must be able to provide documentation that you are old enough, BEFORE you are even allowed to open an account. LAW states you must be a minimum of 18 to gamble (US depends on state), easy way to resolve, no docs, no account, simple!

Rules are rules, If you wanna register for an poker account, you must truthfully register onto the site and read the terms and condition. Lying will not bring you further, but only make it worse for you.

Not surprising that happened at Poker Stars. They have absolutely no age verification there. At least I've never been asked for any documents to prove age. Nor have I been asked at Full Tilt. Seems the European sites are the only ones who want verification on age and address. Sad really, how many other "underagers" are playing there?

I watch replay of final table right now! I cant describe to you how I am glad that he wont get any money!!! Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
Guy is absolute DONK! And he have bad attitude!
When they discussed deal he was only one that didnt want to agree. He blackmailed others to give him 150k more! Shock They had to bagging him to agree.
And his game is just disaster! He should finish in 8th place. He called one all in with Q9 suited! Can you believe that! They keep on playing for Lamborghini worth 200k! Q9! He reraised all in one guy with Q2 off suit! He called all in with 89 suited! He goes all in from early position with 88 and two guys call, one have 1010, other AK, flop brings ace but river brings 8! Real micro 1$ buy in freeroll donk!
He get busted after all in with AJ off, guy on blind had KK.

I am absolutely delighted that he didnt get any money!!!

well I know one girl who is also 17 age old,she get 50$ from p***********y.com and in about 2 weeks she get about 1000$ from cash table NL100 and NL200 6max tables on Party poker,I know she play like thunder.Never see that ability to read hands in my life, only on TV when pro playing.Unfortunatly security team get them when she try to transfer money via table to cash out.And she was sad about that,I advice her,and say hey you have a talent, its better that thay cauth you now with 1k then that you win some big tourney and unable to cash big prizes, you can watch and analyze hands from matches and then when you turn 18 go for it.
