You know flexbleeric that's good to hear your content just doing well even if you don't always make the $$. I feel pretty good when I make the top 250 out of 10,000 players, but generally keep it to myself. It's good to hear I'm not the only one who feels that way. Good Luck in the future!

Posted by dozn01: whatttttttttttttttttt 73rd out of almost 3k and didnt cash,
another reason not to play freerolls
hey doz, 63 places paid...actually this freeroll is worth it compared to the other freerolls...i play not for the money in the freerolls, but to practice..and this is a good one..you won't see all those crazy all-in bettings we all are used to seeing..great to play here..not too many donkey calls..great for practice...$120 1st place is not bad either.

yup green, everytime i make it deep in these tournaments, i'm already satisfied..making the money is just gravy..what's important is that i learn something new because of these tourneys....and you know what,i'm really learning and seeing improvements on my game and it's paying off.like i said in other threads, i'm making it in the top 5-10% of the tourneys with regularity. i made quite a few final tables this past month too..
also, the last two nights, i made a killing at the cash tables playing live here in manila i must say, reading some tips, poker strategies, watching tutorial videos online really helped me. i used to play by just gut feel alone. i think i have finally wisen up and realize that there's more for me to learn

not a lot..but i don't really care about that really like i said, all i wanted is to learn how to adjust my game to play in tournaments and how to play certain situations in these tournaments..i want to improve.that's all

i learned how to play poker just last year...started to play cash games at the same time...i played so poorly early on,i lost a lot...then luckily i got it all back before xmas..played better at the cash tables the last few months of last year (these are all live games)
started playing online around november last year. didn't do well early online..but now i'm starting to play better.reading tutorials and watching videos really helps...i'm focusing on tournament play right now...thankfully, i'm having great results so far

Thats good to hear, freerolls are a great way to get experience especially for bigger tournaments, i was playing the $50 freeroll on full tilt poker the other night i was 19th out of 26 but decided to go all in because i was just too tired to carry on and ended up winning $0.20 in 3 hours lol
