(not that I follow this advice) but I believe the best poker advise is Bankroll Management. Mind you, even rock solid BRM won't help if you're not in the top 5%-10%(or whatever it is) of online poker players that are actually winning players. (remember, being a winning player also means beating the 5%-20% rake/fee).
beyond that - stick to a single format (6max cash, full ring SNG, MTT, DoN, etc). Master a single format - rather than being mediocre at all of them.

Pock3t, I definately can feel your pain. Today was the worst I've played in quite sometime online, even though I may be grinding it out in the freerolls, it makes it that much easier to get "donked". So I decided I'm going to start taking breaks, regularly to help me shake off the woes of being 2 outed. I hiked up a mountain today, and feel invigorated and ready to really tear up the tables. My advice would be to take some time off, and also maybe do some good excercise, a healthy body and a healthy mind go hand in hand. I would hate to hear you throwing in the towel though, many of your insights into the game made me decide to choose this forum as home. Hope this helps and hope to see you back at the tables soon. One other thing, you may want to try grinding it out in the freerolls, i know it can be tedious and time consuming but I have found it really makes me appreciate the convenience of having a roll to make money with. Just a thought.

Well put I really like what you said here. It is hard to do but it can be done. I'm struggling with this myself..

I wouldnt, take the money and put it towards home and casino games, sure the convience is there but focus on live games. I have seen it a thousand times before, early success followed by a stretch of bad beats that cripple you every game, you sit there and shake your head wondering why every hand that used to hold on, doesnt anymore?? The better you play the less chance you have, but if you can discipline yourself into making poor decisions, yes poor decisions!!! You might reap the rewards of short term succes. Sure some people tell you they won money and it happens, but a blind man from Peru can win on these bingo sites in any given tourney, very few will ever have continuous success with the occasional bump in the road. I know exactly what your going through, its demoralizing and it will only get worse believe me, heres the best advice you can get. If your interested in a chance of making money then you need to upgrade your investment at home first, You will need multiple screens and software capable of running 20 to 50 games at the same time, people dont have success playing micro and mid level stakes unless its this formula. It takes alot of time and effort to run it properly and you have to take the personal part of the game is a non factor, the software runs the entire ship and your playing against a program and not the people anymore. look for yourself and see most internet sensations play 30 to 50 games at any given time, do you think they are involving and concerning themselves with everyone they play against????lol

jbuc, your level of psychosis is bewildering...
@p0ck3tr0ck3t I think the "safest" strategy is playing Sng´s. Cash has a high varience, unless you really kmnow what you are doing. Tournaments are an "iffy" situation when you are starting with a low bankroll.
Safest are the DoN´s, I myself never played them, I hate the structure and don´t have the patience. I built up the start of my bankroll through regular Sng´s. You know what you invets, return is clear if you stick to the levels appropriate to your bankroll. Regulars take more time and patience. Turbo´s have more varience, but if your ICM is good, can be profitable faster.

This is just my personal observations about myself. I think that I usually do better than average most of the time. But in the last week or so I have had the same problem as you losing every hand no matter what I start with or wat I catch there is always someone just a little better and I have tied up to 5 times in a row. Never a winning hand. So I decided that I must have got spoiled with good luck and now are playing way too many hands that used to hit for me now they dont. Really depressing. Finnally today I placed itm in a 20k garantee 24 not real good but 40.00 beats losing. barely got itm in the BLT think things are turning around so keep your confidence and you will make a comeback as long as you dont giveup you havent failed.

p0ck3, I'm beginner, but someone IN BRM referenced me to play some SnG's. I've been playing the $1+.10 with 45 or 90 players. This fits me best since I practice playing chip games with 90 players. Don't know what would be your best fit, but like mentioned above, finding a game that your relatively good at, since we can't be good all games. Not that I'm good period, but I've been fare at the SnG's I mentioned. Best of Luck to you and you've got the best advice from these BRM members. They've helped me and that takes a lot.
