Poker Adventures part 1 EPT Dublin  0

Hi Mobsters, as i have no real new highlights in my pokerlife Sad , i'll post an old
story. I quited my job at the end of 2007 after winning a lot of money online
and in live casino tournements.(Told this before, was before i almost died and recovered
for 2 years, losing my house, pokermoney, busy with suing the hospital- getting my money
back etc etc) I started playing poker for a living. After about1 month i won a prizepackage
to the EPT Irish Open 2008 in Dublin, trough Titan Poker. Package contained spending,
flight and hotel money buy-inn for the main event.(Titan phoned me 10 min. after winning
with all details). After arriving in Dublin i took a taxi to the City west Hotel. I was 3 hours
late for there was a greet and meet and photoshoot for all Titan players planned.
After an hour drive we arrived at City west. First i saw was a huge hotel with a golfcourse
and helicopterplatform, limo's, rolls royces and many other expansive cars. As i was late
there was no one there to greet me so i checked in and was escorted to an enourmous
suite that was booked by Titan. A whole suite to myself for the week, the good life had
begun. Going downstairs i ran into the Titan-crew who were just finished Sad .
I went to the poker'building' with them and if i wasen't hooked on poker before, i was now:
An enourmous congres hall with high sealings and.... pokertables as far as my eye could see.
At the end there was a stage with lighting and camera's: the tv-table. There was 24 hour
a day cashgames and sng with various buy-inn going on and pokerpro's, media and
starting amateurs(like i was) were walking in and out. Seemed like pokerheaven Worship .
Next day i started because i was in group 1 and was pretty nervous at the start. I walked
to the seat were there was a set chips and some booklet with my name on it, and greeted
the table and sat down with....: Doyle Brunson, Marty Smith and diden't recognize the
rest. After maybe 5 min there was an announcement: first player out..it was Tony G.
After a nice day, diden't got many hands but won most i did play i finished in 96th position
with a stack almost twice the average and was a happycamper Big Smile .

End of part 1
