What would you do in this situation:
World Series of Poker (WSOP) Situation: $1/$2 Cash game. Your Position/Stack: Hijack/$200 Your Hand: 8s/9s Action: UTG raises to $7 with $150 behind. UTG+1 calls with $250 behind. You call, so does the SB with $80 behind & the BB with $325 behind.
...Flop: 9c, 9h, Ac
SB checks, BB bets $20 which is called by UTG. UTG+1 raises to $50.
Do you:
A) Fold B) Call & fold to any re-raise C) Re-raise & call any re-raise D) All in E) Other
------------ I think I gotta go with answer (C).
------------ Interested in all Mobsters comments here. What would you do in this situation?

hm, i dont think there is another possibility than going broke here... Aces are really not that usual and that someone else has a 9 is unusual too. And if so, he might not have a better kicker or the turn will help you with a king or something...

UTG is the main threat, id expect a re-raise if the outher 2 had AA, to risky for AA in a multy way pot. UTG c-bets, commen pratice, can expect him to hold a strong ace or PP, the re raise is more thna likely a steal, If he had AA id expect a call letting outher players hang them selfs, no need to push people off the pot when you have the nuts. Id be pushing all in, lots of things can go wrong still, turn could make a flush draw EG UTG hold AKs, or someones PP hits for FH. Get the money in good.

It comes from the WSOP. They do have their own poker site eh. Maybe some don't know that. I can provide these questions everyday, just for some fun. Their site is new, but i am sure it will take off.

I'd go D.. Althought I think C is ok as well.. I choose D because at this point I really only want one opponent.. I really wouldn't expect to be too far ahead here though, if ahead at all.. Some muppet with A9 is always a strong possibility leaving you drawing dead. Getting called by a FD or AK is about the only calling hands you're likely to be ahead of here.. But @ $1/$2 I'm expecting AK to fold here.. FD might still call if there's enough equity in it.
Still if you're calling hands like 89s then you gotta be prepared to stack off here otherwise there's no point playing them hands.

I chose other because I didn't believe there was enough information for an answer.....First off I, like Jovi wonder what you mean by WSOP cash game, I supposse it's not important though. I tend to play alot of live cash game's and online sometimes, but not lately. The reason I say there wasn't enough information is because in a cash game it's highly, highly important to pay close attention to your opponents, not that it's not in tournaments....It's just that in a cash game I tend to classify my opponents within the first hour, I know who is a Trapping & slow playing alot, in most cash games there is ussually a really live fish or two just gambling limping and calling raises w atc & in any position, and one other thing I always try and pay attention for is the shark! The solid player who has been playing little to no hands and also seemingly pay attention to "the flow" of the game. Could this player be any of the former mentioned?? This is vital info, because with each style of player I make a different move, even fold!! This I think is one of the true marks of a great player, is beaing able to make THE HUGE laydown, that 75% of us poker players would go broke on. Now I am not claimimg that I could really make a laydown like that, but I have definately made similar ones. I remember my young days, of never imagining folding pocket aces, or any combination of a boat.Of course those days are long gone & I think for the better. Until next time Mobster's, & GL at the tables.

They don't actually say where, so it could be from the WSOP or their poker site. I have access to these questions every day. Thought I would start posting them here to get Mobsters opinions..

I would call just to see how much they trust their hands then fold to any re-raise.
I know that the set looks tempting but I wouldn't risk too much with 71% chance , considering that there is already a flush draw and that the turn+ river might boost an eventual stronger pocket pair than mine.

I choosed to re-raise and call raises, but i think i would call flop and than, at the turn, i would raise and re-raise any. Not so agressive in the begining, only after, but that's my way of play, perhaps wrong.
