My thoughts about respect towards Professional Poker PLayers.
Last weekend I saw a lot of "disrespect" towards Daniel Negreanu in that game against Isldor, or what ever his nick is. We as non professionals should show our respect at all times. It really bugged the hell out of me to see that crap in the chatroom last weekend. I might watch today, but prob not. There are only a few "pro's" that I really don't like. But as professionals, they deserve our respect. It takes guts to join the ranks as "professionals" and play the huge buyin games that they play. To me, there is no room for people to cut them up when they lose. We all lose, some more than others.
Seems to me as the professional ranks get more and more players, there is more and more lack of respect. Just because I can't stand someone, lets say Tony G, for example. Doesn't give me the right to talk trash against him in a poker room. Never have, and never will. Simply because I have and try to show respect towards these people. So the next time you see "disrespect", think about what these Professionals deal with on a daily basis. And show your respect...

in every game they is a simple rule that is fair play ,waths happens in pokerstrs chat thats just crazy a lot of stupid outings from people that better schould loking first in a mirror

Great Post BMW. I think there are just some bad apples that play the game. Know it alls who will never amount to anything! I think we should all strive to respect each other at all times, irregardless not only on the felt but in life as well.

Nice thread BMW, I couldn't imagine playing in front of thousands of spectators. Then, for some one to state snod comments because your having a bad game. Just isn't right! Good Luck to All!

Tony G does that himself vocally all the time, and that´s why I don´t like him. But I will never put him down in a chat. A sign of weakness, jealousy, no class...you name it!

See, I like the big "G" its all for TV, he makes the game intresting, who would watch a table full of zombified Iveys, cold stares and no chat, thats why I cant stand Durrrr almost talks in to his chest in a whisper....SPEAK UP LAD YOU ARE ON T.V. As IslandJack people only slag them off in chat due to jealousy. Did you spot the irony in your post Isldor!!! who ever he is!!! how disrespectfull its isildur1 AKA Viktor Blom, possably the best HU player there is.

So true. To B1gfoot, I never said "who ever he is", read what is written then comment. What I said is this Isldor, or what ever his nick is. Big difference there. I don't care what his name is anyway, but I would never disrespect him at a table. In a live game, or online. And I didn't "disrespect" him by not knowing how he spelled his nick. Doesn't matter anyway. Anyone like him that can read a player online like he does, deserves respect . He is a much better player online than Daniel ever will be.

With all of the crazy jibber jabber in the chat box I turned it off pretty quickly when I railed their first meeting last week. Some players get disliked for their comments and attitudes, but I love watching Helmuth explode over a donk call, and Tony G is pretty amusing as well. Wherever there are successful poker players there are going to be jealous haters for sure.

I must absolutely agree with your post BMW! On chat you can see bunch of losers talking s**t about someone who lives theirs dream! After all what could you expect from people who write all the time RIP Doyle? Doyle is legend of poker and very good man. And they keep on posting that s**t in chats and forums! And yes: please, someone send me 1$, please, please, I will pay back!!! PLEASE! And then you see him writing RIP DOYLE, Gus is idiot....

This is a great post and I was thinking the same thing last week. I have always liked Daniel and the guy is a great poker player with winnings of over 13 million and people were talking trash about him. He is also one of the best reader of cards and has a great personality and just an all around super guy. Well I was glad to see him come back and win yesterday and Daniel admits himself he is a better live poker player and he is. Isilidur as I have in another post is losing money for PS and he couldn't come close to Daniel in live poker. Tony G not one of my favorites but he's made it bigger then I ever will. The only good thing that happened to me was when he had his poker site not sure if he still does I knocked him out of the trny and there was a $100 bounty on him. My username was Crazyhorse and he was polite as ever saying nh horse and $100 is in your account now. I respect all these players so once again BMWman a great post.
