About 3 months ago, I decided to open my pokerstars client because my friend was going to send me $10 to my account. I havnt opened my pokerstars client in probably 6 months prior to that. I login, and notice there is a mysterious $900 some odd dollars in my account. I look at the cashier history and notice 2 Visa transactions for $599 (max). I contact pokerstars support and let them know about these mysterious transactions. They tell me everything is fine so I play with the money. About 2 hours after, I log out of my account and try to login. I keep getting password error, so, I try to reset my password by getting the temp pass sent to my email. So I try to log into my email, no go. So I presume I have been hacked so I send another email message to pokerstars explaining my situation. I change my email, they give me added protection after I sign in with a special security code. (They do all this on the phone with me, they actually called my house). So I play for about 3 more days. My account get frozen and I get an email from Pokerstars saying I owe them $1200. I again explain to them what happened and demand the ip address of the person who was using my account. I trace the i.p address and it comes up from someone in Mississauga, Ontario. About 3 hours away from where I live. I tell pokerstars that I will be contacting the police and a lawyer after they tell me they are going to be sending it to collections. I have not received another email from them since (been about 2 months) nor have i received a bill from collections. I sent them an email today asking what is going on with my account. so i will keep you all posted on what happens with this big fkn mess.
yes i do play online poker alot for about 10 years now, but dont you think is funny you found that money in your account and still played with it then pokerstars closed your account down and then ask you for $1200 back lmao now that is a con so yes its rigged imo ,
you shouldnt of been playing with money in your account if it got deposited by another person cause the details of the card must not of been yours, smells fishy of course you were hacked but why the hell did you play with the money , any way whats do is done i hope you can sort this mess out and good luck

dozn is right, you shouldn't have played with the money. Even further, you should have seen it coming that this will happen since it was some obvious fraud going on.

It's still not the smartest thing to just go with that, the money that was deposited on your account was from a credit card of an other person, the latest point you would've gotten in trouble,no matter what they said, was if you wanted to cash out...

I agree with my old china. I would have played with the money as well and withdrawn about 75% of it - and wait to see if they asked for it back - if so I would have returned it. I would also have asked the name of the person who had lost their money, so I could send my apologies (yer right).
GL all - And I believe all sites are rigged - it just matters how much !!

Hmmm sounds like too much nonsense by pokerstars from what you say, but you should hav asked them to investigate the matter and take back those $$ instead of playing with them. btw wonder if FBI wud be interested in your story, lmao

Interesting story Cuon, but i would like to know how is it possible to owe pokerstars money? You never withdrew, and one can't take a loan at stars, so how is it possible to be in the negative??? And if i were you i would drive the 3 hours and pay the guy/girl a visit. Keep us posted and please explain the -1200$. Gl with this mess

yesterday was a beautiful day here and I had a walk, then went to a pub for some beers. But unfortunately I got drunk and spent all my money.
