Well Mobster's I thought you may enjoy this tasty little tidbit of a poker story, involving a fellow Mobster. I could make this a long thread, but I'll try to shorten it a bit. Some of the regulars from my live game this Sunday. It started as a 5$ minimum buy in single, 25. blind. The game never exceeded six-handed(I thoroughly enjoy 6 handed, not to big, not too small.) I initially bought in for 10$, but quickly added 20$ to my stack as the action was fast and furious, and one player was almost imediately in for 25$. I never dropped below my 30$. I flopped a set of jacks and held up against top pair and a straight draw. I flopped top set with my aces on a straight scary board with a flush draw, the same player I felted with the jacks pushed with his flush draw.....I called. He makes his flush. River pairs the board.Vindication. Soon a fellow Mobster Funnyman showed up. He bought in for 20 and was quickly up to a hundred or so. He cracked my Aces with J10(he flopped top pair, we got the money in on the flop and he turned trips.) Shortly after his buy-in he busted one of the two remaining players, the other cashed out(being a novice I understand his hesitation, it was a real blood game.) FunnyMan and I got it all-in again I had AKs he had KJ(Heads-up) He hit not 1 but 2 Jacks!!! In the end I think I got the best of him. On the final hand we placed a 5$ side bet on whoever won the last hand. He opened from the button with 75to 4$,I called from the BB with 92off. The Flop was 699. i checked. He continuation bet the flop5$. I flat called. The turn is the last remaing 9. He bluffs again, 10$. I flat call, having crippled the deck. River is a beatutiful 8, completing Funnyman's straight, and making him think his bluff suddenly turned profitable. I checked to him for a 3rd time on the river. He bets 20$, I min-raise,160$...Or at least I think that's how the last street went. Anyhow I took a monster pot with 4 nines! Don't worry about funnyman either, he still walked away up 30$ or more. I however almost busted the table, and walked away with a total profit of 320$ after tipping my dealer who had already lost more than 100$. The only problem is, I may have killed the action for my regular Monday Night game scheduled for tommorrow night! Ah well I'll console yself with the money if i have too.
------------ Alright game ended @ 12:45am, it's now 3:30am. i thiknk I have blogged about poker enough tonight. Goodnight Mobster's enjoy the thread. I know you will.

I will be traveling there eventually, it may be a few years. You will know when I'm planning it, I will start a thread for advice on what see and do, where to stay, and where the best action is when I visit. Planty of you red coats on here to get info from. See you hopefully sooner than later.
------------ Wish I was there now...At least I could play online.

Yeah not too shabby. I have so much going on though! I want to fly to San Fransisco in may to see my uncle I haven't seen for over 20years. I want to visit home(STL) in september(9-11 baby) it's my 30th birthday, I aslo want to visit friends & family in texas & florida, and also I want to see jamaica, the carribean, australia, and alot of parts of europe. Hopefully I'll live long enough, and make enough money to accomplish most of these goals. We'll see how it goes, they do say life it what happens to us while we are busy making other plans.

Nice hand with an excellent pot at the end, what more could you ask for? Congrats on nailing a hug hand heads up like that. Oftentimes heads up will come down to who has the highest card, with nobody hitting the board, or who is the most aggressive, but quads heads up has to be mighty sweeeet!
Wow, huge last hand & pot So now with this nice profit you can send me some money, lol I'd like to play some home games like this with friends, but I think only one of my friends plays poker, or better said knows what poker is and knows the basics
It seems that we should have some sort of BRM Poker Tour xD We can start in hoodi's house, then move on to pocketrocket's etc. etc. For sure it would turn into the best Poker Tour on Earth, they would have to shut down the whole WSOP stuff xD

I am totally down. San Diego is really beautiful too. We can hit the beaches or the mountains after the poker game.
