Man, what a great thread idea. Now if I only didn't suck supremely at photoshop I'd be all up in this thread for sure. Love the orange frog, that turned out super awesome. It looks like it has some sort of built in fruit spring to help it jump.

great pics b1gfoot love the beer comp image. i would post some pics if i had free time, so maybe in future. though i would prefer gif animations.
@ mahrdof - i used gimp about 3 -4 years ago for some website designing and really liked it. i was using suse linux at that time and this was the only choice i had though. its free, easier to use and lighter on resources compared to adobe photoshop.

Thanks for the input supernoob! gimp seemed to be the best from what I read, but it's always good to get some actual user feedback. It'll take me a while to do anything close to what B1gfoot is doing, that's some really nice stuff! Get ready mobsafe lady...

@T3ddyKGB that one took about an hour, and have only been playing around for about 2 months, am actually using GIMP. @mahdrof GIMP is superb, obviously photoshop has lots of better stuff and makes your life easier but GIMP is very close to what they offer, it wont take that long to get used to, its very user friendly and lots of tutorials about, I use about 3 tools for most of what I do. The hard bit is coming up with the ideas, then finding a pic that will suit.

There is a modifed version of Gimp called GimpShop that is supposed to replicate the feel and features of Photoshop, it's also free.
