there has been times when serbia dominated but now they suck just like in football. havent watched basketball for years (since jordan retired for the 2nd time) but according to the media france will do it lol. probably germany with a big portion of luck and a nowitzki in a good shape.

LOL! Did you saw last night how Serbia suck against Germany. Dirk had his day and you still lost over 10 points. We have team. There are no big stars in team but we have team.

didnt mean to insult serbia, i my self am serbian. i just wanted to say they arent as good as they used to be. too bad...if i knew ser vs ger plays i might have watched it.

Funny enough I was thinking exactly the same question. I guess the Uk is a totally different planet from the rest of Europe. There isn't a massive basketball following in this country, hence we are not in the championship I guess. But I wasn't aware that basketball was big in France either. Each country can only have a few national sports before there's just not enough fan base. I expect every country in Europe is different.

It seems that no team can stop the favorite Spain in the EuropeanBasket Championship. They have won versus a great team like Serbia and i think only Russia can stop the spanish team...
