What is YOUR most memorable poker hand ever?  0
Be interesting to hear your most memorable poker hand you have ever played, one that you still think back on, while lying there trying to sleep, so tell me all about it!

Mine was a losing hand, probably about 4-5 months ago. It was on the final table of a £3000 guaranteed. There were 3 players left, including myself.

I was raised 5 bigs from the button by an aggro player, I called from the small blind with QK spades.
They had a few thousand more chips than me (quite deep stacked)
Flop came 7d 10s Js, I wanted to get all my chips in, but not lose my customer, so I check to aggro. knowing they will bet.
They shove all in! I insta call, thinking I dont care If I am behind, I have outs!
He turns over Qd 3c, I am in dream land! 3rd place paid £360, 1st place a little over £800!

The turn comes, its a deuce of hearts! wicked, now Im gonna be chip dominating the table!

The river comes....... 3h.... YEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!... No wait, oh s**t! Im out! Aww crap!

I have two hands that stand out

1st was on Action Poker in a 25/50 cent ring game. I pick up A 10 on the BB. It checks to me so I raise to $3 and get two callers. The flop comes K Q J rainbow. I check and the first caller raises to $8. The other one re-raises to $20 so I re-raise again to $40. The first better shoves all in with about $120 and the other one calls with all his money. Of course I call too. The pot is $320....

I am in dreamland.. I've flopped the nuts and got two players all in. THe first player turns over JJ and the second one turns over KQ

I am ahead but they have outs and sure enough the river comes over a Q giving them both a full house and my nuts straight demoted to absolutely nothing..

The second one, which was even worse was on Bwin in a WSOP main event qualifier. I'd satellited through to the $100 buy in game and the winner got a seat into the WSOP main event. I played the best poker I think I've ever played and coming to the final table I was a decent sized chip leader. I lost a few flips but maintained a decent stack as others faded out. Eventually it got to heads up and I have him covered by about 30k. The BB was (if I recall ) about 25k so theres absolutely nothing in it.

I pick up AQ on the SB so raise it up only for him to re-raise me. I call and wait to see the flop. Oh the joy. THe flop comes down A Q rag...

I check to see what he's going to do, and sure enough he bets half the pot, basically committing himself and me. I re-raise all in hoping like hell he hasn't hit a set. He turns over AK.. I am ahead and he's in real trouble.

Flop comes over a rag card so its down to the river. One more miss and I am off to Vegas.. What happens. THe lucky twat hits a K on the river, I am crippled and have to settle for the measly sum of $2000 instead of a damn seat in the WSOP with all the trimmings.

I won $2k and cried all night because I'd lost that hand.

Now that does suck, BIG TIME! all the thinking of... just what if? what if that K didnt come? what if I made it to the WSOP? I feel for you Sad

My most memorable hand was in a 25c/50c live cash game. I had Q-9 of spades, I raise 3.5x on the button. SB calls with A-J off suit with the ace of spades. Flop comes 10-J-8 all spades, dream flop! He checks thinking he's trapping me. I think a bit, I decide to check hoping he has a spade. The 5 of spades comes on the turn, he bets, I raise, he goes all in. I won about 60$, I almost felt sorry for him, not 3 betting his hand pre flop was the only mistake he did!

Sick hand Big Smile

I think it was in a tournament where it was the end(for me lol) since i had like 3 big blinds and i decided to call with 2 3 suited and thats the first time when i made a straight flush Blink

Other than that on omaha you get a lot of spectacular hands all thetime so i lost track of them Smile

Tough choice, but two stick in my mind. Three years ago at NL1000, started with a $175 short stack, worked my way up to about $600, when I got pocket aces. Raised preflop with one caller, flop came down A-6-2, I bet, get called and another 2 comes out. At this point I figure only one hand can beat me so I check and the other guy checks. The river card comes out giving my opponent flush at which point he shoves and I call for a $1200 pot.

In live play last year, playing in our bar league in the monthly tournament for a shot at advancing the next stage. We are down to the final two tables, I have an average chip stack sitting UTG and get dealt JJ. I raise and get three callers. The board comes down Js-9h-8s. I bet, two players call and guy on button shoves. I go all in and so do the other two players. I have trip jacks, the other two have flush draws and the button has flopped a straight. The dealer goes to flip over the turn card and I should out “Pair the board!” just as he turns over another jack for quads! Busted all three guys out of the tourney and ended up winning the whole event that night.

I cant say i have a memorable one in the terms you are mentioning here.Besides a few royals
over the past years Smile Which most of them didnt pay much.

@fcumred For sure that hand you lost at the river with the King was something you cant forget.
But at least you got 2k from it.
Besides the experience of participating in a WSOP tournament, you may had finished out of the money

My most memorable hand is both the most I ever won and lost at the same time, I know that doesn't make sense but it was in an MTT and I was already in the money. I had QQ and went all in pre flop against 7To. Some how I lost, I placed for $200 (which is my highest earning to date) but the next place was $400 (which I feel I lost, as I freakin deserved it).

So there you have it.

Some interesting hands there! Nice to see they are not all losing hands, didnt want this to turn into a bad beat thread..

@ mahdrof, the hand with quad Jacks is a total epic! Worship

@ Arithmajik, that sucks, been in that spot many times, so close to hitting the biggest cash yet, only to get knocked out after getting your money in good Aww crap!

Yeah true. The hands I remember the most are those I lose usually, like most people. That's why I took that straight flush hand, it was more about the cards than the money or the chips! Smile

@ Mahdrof: The quad hand is sick I agree Big Smile

Thanks for the support, I can't complain too bitterlty though, as $200 is still lots of coin compared to my roll. At the time it was a quick 30% boost, which is very nice as it allowed me to play higher stakes, it'll just always be the one that got away.

I just witnessed a crazy hand (NOT mine) that I want to share on the forum. It happened when I was observing Full Tilt Rush (or PokerStars Zoom) cash game. Look at the screenshot below! I have never seen anything like this before.

This hand was on Full Tilt rush before the merge with Stars. Because the running it twice IMO was not possible on Stars.

I don't think this kind of play still exist. But the hand showed was quite a lucky one for the pocket 9 hand hitting two river with a 9 for a nice 1K pot. Big Smile Big Smile Big Smile
