LAPT (Latin poker tour)  0
Since we don't have private message this is actually just a question/info to "thefodz" out of curiosity Smile I on read on a danish pokersite that there is gonna be a Latin poker tour from 3rd Maj to 9th August in Brazil, Costa rica and Uruguay. I don't know where you live in Brazil but the tournament is held in Rio de Janero. I remember you told me live is your primary game but I can't remember how you feel about tourneys.
Buy-in is 2,5K $ but since you a not a "standard" BRM member I thought I might be something for you Cool

Actually, I was born there in the state of Rio, where the tournament is going to be help. I live in São Paulo, around 400KM of distance. Tournament play is not my specialty, but I am still convincing myself to participate. I´ll keep you guys updated. Thumbs Up

Ok sounds great, I thought you probably heard of the tourney since you live "near" where it's held but if you haven't.....now you have Big Smile
I can't wait to hear how a BRM member owned the Final table in LAPT Cool I wish you the best luck Dollar

@GeneYuss I think regular tourney's (wsop,wpt etc) has a max buy-in of 10K$ but I've heard of 20-50 pers tourney's with 50K$ where only TOP pro's get invites.

I still don´t know if I´ll be available to go. But be sure that if I do indeed go, I´ll print out a bankrollmob T-shirt or hat just for fun and wear it. Of course, ask someone to take pictures and all that good marketing stuff. Blink

Hey, I would love to be sponsored, having in mind that accomodation and travel I don´t need. It would actually only be the buy-in of $2,5K. So if anyone is interested, hey, send a post my way! Blink

At EPT in Copenhagen one of Denmarks "young guns" Peter W. Jepsen (Zupp) went out in the start of the tourney so he arranged a 200K Euro HU match against a rich german buisness man in the hotel room. Normally the story is how a young pro rips off a old buisness man with alot of money but this old timer owned DK's young gun who recently got contract with FTP. After beating Peter W. Jepsen for 200K Euro the guy would only accept cash and Peter only had Chips from the Casino they were at, so Peter had to give him his watch while he ran down to the cashier to exchange the chips into cash, the Casino said they didn't have that much cash WTF that's weak I think. So now the old buisness man has got Peter's watch until Peter pays when they meet in Poland....I guess in the tourney in Warsaw
that's just been held. The watch must be worth alot since it's enough pledge.

By the way, any of you mobsters going to come to Brasil to play in this tourney? If so let me know, it´s always nice to see people coming to visit my country, and plus, I´ll probably be there too.

------------
There as many satellites for this tourney, as low as $7.70 at PokerStars, so don´t miss the chance to come and visit my beautiful country!

The buy in is 2.5k right? Thats more than my bankroll lol..And I doubt I'll win a satillite Sad Are you going to play thefodz ? Or just visit?

M3turbo, cool story. Is the rich business man Andy Beal? I heard he played a bunch of pros, he beat some but Phil Ivey smoked him for millions.

GeneYuss sadly the story didn't state any names only that it was an elderly german buisness man but I thought the story was pretty cool too. I love hearing story's from "behind the scene" that's where the heavy action is Cool

If you`re interested, check this link out. It talks a little about Andy Beal playing high stakes against some pros.

Possibly who will be to the event in "Rio De Janeiro" in May will find me for there! I characterized myself for the satellite, and, I am very optimistical!

Hugs
