BUMPER PCA FIELD REACHES 500+ - updated December 13, 2011 11:23 PM
More than 529 players are ALREADY registered for the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure next month - and more than 90% of them won their seats on PokerStars. So, with another three weeks still to go, we are ALREADY looking at a Main Event prize pool of more than $5.3 million.
Among the 378 players who have won full PCA packages so far are EPT6 Grand Final champion Nicolas Chouity, Team PokerStars Pros Vanessa Selbst, Matthias De Meulder, Toni Judet, Pat Pezzin and Victor Ramdin, EPT Tallinn champion Ronny Kaiser, EPT6 Berlin winner Kevin MacPhee, EPT Barcelona champion Martin Schleich, EPT1 London winner John Shipley , EPT Dortmund champion Mike McDonald plus PokerStars Greek Challengers Stavros Kalfas and Georgios Kapalas and PokerStars Team Online's Anders Berg, Kevin Thurman and Shane Schleger. The qualifiers also include PCA runner-up Chris Oliver, PCA High Roller champion Will Molson, Soren Kongsgaard Nielsen, Russell Carson, Matt Stout, Dominykas Karmazinas, Bryn Kenney Dominik Nitsche , Govert Metaal, Andrew Lichtenberger, Alex Fitzgerald and Kenny Hicks.
Six players have had almost a year to plan their PCA holiday wardrobe - Garry Rogerson, Gabriel Rausch, Jesus Sanchez, Juan Carlos , Jonathan Grubb and Konstantin Aleynik all won their PCA trips - worth nearly $15,000 - last March via the very first 2012 Mega-Path satellites. Players that have overcome the most recent eight rounds of FPP tournaments of the Mega-Path are now close to seeing if they'll be among be joining them. The final 321,000 FPP buy-in Mega-Path tourney is on PokerStars next Monday - December 19.
Another 100 players have won their packages via PokerStars' 10th Anniversary Giveaway. They include Team PokerStars Pro Sebastian Ruthenberg, EPT Vilamoura champion Antonio Matias and serial EPT High Roller finalist Philipp Gruissem.
PCA qualifiers will continue running over the holiday period and into the very last week before the event so there are plenty of opportunities still to qualify.
