My two goals for poker in 2012: 1. Make $20,000 playing cash games on 888 2. Reverse my long downslide on Pokerstars and start posting regular gains there too.
Other than that, continue working on strategy in general. GL with your poker goals in 2012.

Hey Damessiah666! If, you figure out that first goal of yours and share your secrets to how you collect fr5om FT I can make you some extra cash. lol No, but serious myself and about a dozen personal friends (poker friends) would probably pay you a percentage of their BR if they could figure out how to get it back.
Sorry to skew from the original thread BeMyATMplz! This is a very good thread and interesting to read everyones goals. Thanks!
Not too many goals...just improving my non showdown winnings and put a more concentrated offer to grind up 2 limit levels. If all goes well, then I will probably start playing some tourny's during the 2nd half of the year. Happy New Year.

Seriously, I never set goals. I just play to win. With poker, you'll never know when you'll be up or down, what's important is to always bring your a-game.
I'd agree with you for low-volume players here,it's totally possible to be down overall over ~1000 games or so,however a downswing cant last forever,it's just a mathematical impossibility, and if someone is down after 3K or so SNGs at one specific stake they're doing something very wrong
Nice posts all keep em coming
Agree with retribution. !! My goals is to be winning poker player ! Profit ? I don't make target. Target just make me couldn't play loose.

Uhmmm, no need, just follow the news. Full Tilt is scheduled to come back online sometime in january. Doj approved sale as did the board, so Tapie bought FTP. Americans are getting paid back by DOJ, the rest of us will get our $$$ back when FTP re-opens.
So uhmmm, do I qualify for a % of the BR you were offering?

Your goals are great! Are they real goals, I mean, do you have what it takes to reach them? I could never define a $15k profit on poker for one year if I only play $1 or $2 SnGs and $3 buy-in MTTs. You are way above me but, never the less, I think there’s nothing wrong in saying my objectives for 2012 is to reach the $500 profit in the sum of all the rooms I am playing at! Not as high as yours, but, believe, this is already high expectations!

2011 brought me around $3000 total profit over all rooms i play, This year i would like to equal this or atleast get close. That said, another goal i have is to see you all succeed too! (just not as much as me haha)

Yeah,I've set my goals as realistic as possible 15K profit over 25K games (I'll probably play more like 30K games or so anyways) means only about 5%-6% ROI for my stakes, which is a good estimation but chances are I'll even go slightly higher (currently on 11% ROI in 18 man SNGs over 5K games, not sure if I can maintain that though). Supernova is gonna be worth an additional $6K too (if I reach 200K VPPs over the year it's gonna be even more, like $13.5K,but it's unlikely I'll get that far )
All depends on your volume too anyways. I go to school again now so I can only play in the evening, but by playing 20-30 tables I should still be able to play an average of about 100 games per day (which would be awesome if I end up playing that many games) To get a rough estimation of how much you will make just calculate your stakes with your ROI and the number of games you plan on playing over the year. Obv. it's not gonna be 100% accurate, but if you play a good number of games then you can get your calculation pretty close to what will happen
