Well since I got back form my vacation I depositted $50 on to FTP, playing alot because my kid is at his grandparents for the weekend and husband is at work till 6. So Im here playing alone and winning.
Ive now taken that $50 to $225 it feels so good to be on the winning side again. Ive been watching some poker videos online reminding myself of plays I can use, and theyve been working.
EX:
YOU : AK Villian : ??
You raise preflop
Flop comes 2 7 4
You check and then the villian raises. You reraise them back, and its a almost automatic fold for them.
Ive won alot of money using that strategy, and I would never had done it if I wasnt watching these videos.

I know what you mean. Winning money from playing something you enjoy is so sweet. I also had a big brake for like a year, I just didn't have time to play and I had so many bad beats that I stopped playing (at least online). But now since about six weeks I'm playing playing again for hours a day. I got a 15$ bonus from Partypoker and I already cashed out about 200$. I made 100$ at pitbullpoker from a 10$ bonus. And on FullTilt I started with 50$ and I have 100$ now
About the videos u'r right, watching pros play and hearing the commentators really helps your game.
Well good luck to you, I hope soon your bankroll will be in thousands of $

Ya, the check raise is a powerful move and really puts your opponent in a tough spot. I'm surprised they'll bet out right at you when you raise preflop.
