Just after Christmas the Department of Justice(DOJ) changed their stance on internet poker. In 2006 there was a law passed making online sports betting illegal, but as we all should know, the DOJ used that same law to lump online poker into this illegal category. Just after christmas the DOJ made the distinction between online gambling(sports betting, slots, ect.) & poker. Basically they flip flopped their stance. Online poker is illegal, online poker is not illegal. This is good news though at least for us poker players, especially the ones here in The States. There are several states that have already begun to set up laws governing "interstate" online poker, like nevada who is at the fore front. Once Americans can play each other state-to-state, it will only be a matter of time before we Americans get to return to the worldwide online felt. All I know is that I cannot wait to be able to join my fellow mobsters on the virtual felt again. I miss my online poker. Cool
