Thought about Full Tilt situation  0
I thought about FT situation and I came to conclusion.
Best would be if players could be payed from some other source and instead of reopening full tilt if they sell software to some reliable co.
I mean, I dont think I would ever again trust my money to that site. At least first few years anyway, and I think nobody should.
Wouldnt be better to see for example William Hill buying FT software? That way, you would have software that ppl like buyed by trustworthy company who already have lots of players. They would invest in marketing and soon we would have better FT then real one.
Just a thought.

i dont understand this hype about FT at all, and who is gonna buy it etc. all i would care is if i get my money back.
i admitt i liked the software too, after turning off this annoying comic stuff, but so i do at all other pokerrooms.
there is a dozen pokerrooms out there, even if pokerstars is gone...who cares, i move elsewhere. nowadays the software is everywhere nearly equal.
i also dont think FT will have special promotions, like they had back the days.
the only reason why they offered such great promotions we found out after everything came to the light.

The only good news is the chance to get the money back. When the bt gruop buys ft, i´m sure we didn´t get back only one cent. And now we have the little hope to get our money back...

Well i thought something was odd when i seen PS had released ZOOM Beta, http://www.bankrollmob.com/forum.asp?mode=thread&id...
as its just about same to RUSH in GUI/software, just diff platforms!, as when Rush came out, It had Patient pending (in the detail) then not long after (about month+) i had not long joined, and black Friday happened.
Now PS has similar format, there's no way i think PS could of did(ZOOM) if there wasn't some deal between PS and software developer/owner, and didn't Cris F have something do with first software/GUI of PokerStars if remember right(may be wrong) as He's software(poker) programer (PS2 WSOP 2005 etc & before then)?

Well i think there be good and bad points if this is true that PS have taken on FT debt's /company/software etc

Have you made this thought before or after the news which advance PS like a possible buyer of FT? If you did it before, I believe you are very happy in knowing that Stars is advancing with an offer. I don’t know what’s the best. We are assisting to a deal between the biggest online poker company of the world and the one who was the 2nd, or at least one of the five biggest ones. This is killing competition.

Hi guys!!

I think the FTP software don´t cost the 330 millions of the players. The most value asset is the database of players i read in 2p2.
In anyway we (FTP players) need a final solution. This situation is like hell.

I wonder what the next step will be now! Nobody is going to purchase FT's assets or debts, but it would be nice if someone would open a site that had the diversity and crediability that FT did with a wide variety of games and a large player base from all around the world.

Hey! I got an idea! Why doesn't BRM buy FT out and take over the poker world. lol

i was really excited about the developments surrounding gbt and i wouldnt of minded their concept of playing to withdraw because i have no intentions of withdrawing my money when i get it back anyway.
but now that deal has fallen through and pokerstars is in the mix i feel gutted and deflated. because i know that rakeback will go and the tournies wont be as good.
just hope they decide to keep things exactly how they were before otherwise i dont think i'l be playing there for long.

No way things go as ususal, bullettooth1.

If Pokerstars finaly buy FTP we will see lots of changes in VIP programs and in promotions. We can say bye to rakeback and to the no deposit bonus promotions. And to the ring tickets in the store. And to directly chand T$ to $, etc...

I think the two sites will have similar reward programs and promotions.

In the middle of the case i dont understand why PS is interested to buy the brand. Doesnt make any sense, because iam sure that in PS nobody looks at FTP as a real threat for them.
FTP and Absolute poker are already dead brands.

The is pretty obvious to me.
PS don't really need FT and doesn't wish to buy it. Especially not for 750 mln $. Their players' base overlaps hugely. American market is not reachable via FT as well. They don't really need the FT software as their own client is equally good. So, there is no reason for PS to buy FT except one.

This purchase is a camouflaged attempt to make a deal with the Department of Justice so that they close the case against PS owners and executives (Isai Scheinberg, Paul Tate).
This deal is very convenient for DOJ. This is why they weren't so fast in striking a deal with Tapie Group. Let me remind, that GBT was negotiating that players should be paid back also with the money confiscated by DOJ.
Of course, DOJ would prefer to keep those funds and let PS pay the players back. And PS will do that to get their own people off the hook of DOJ.

Like there is a chance for DOJ to keep all that money and wont take it.
Or you think that the whole story happened because they were looking after
the best interest of the players.
They just grabbed an opportunity for extra cash and now they are trying to make the most of it Smile
