by raising the turn u represent an A or a set 10's..which makes ur opponent fold on the river valuebet..

instead u had better donkbet on the river..if get called u get max value...

another thing if u want to hit ur possible royal straights ,why try to chase people away???

the turn i would have just flatcalled..u raised with only a draw to a king to the initial raiser...so semi bluff.

can't say u played it totaly wrong ,since u won that hand, but to get max. value a flatcall on the turn was much better and safer..that way u give opponent the chance to represent the hand u holding...

i'd rather look weak with my strong hands and strong with my weaker hands..

im not an expert,so hope others agree on my evaluation...

Id agree too, as i have done this in past, a leak i had was if u got nutz the more u overbet the least +EV you get
There 2 types of Bluff's:
To Bluff OP(s) out
Or
To Bluff OP(s) in
as was the situation here

Odds for royal flush
Approx. Odds = 649,739 : 1
649,739 : 1 ,so one may not have one (RF) for 649,739 hands+

"Frequency of 5-card poker hands

The following enumerates the (absolute) frequency of each hand, given all combinations of 5 cards randomly drawn from a full deck of 52 without replacement. Wild cards are not considered. The probability of drawing a given hand is calculated by dividing the number of ways of drawing the hand by the total number of 5-card hands (the sample space, , egin{matrix} {52 choose 5} = 2,598,960 end{matrix} five-card hands). The odds are defined as the ratio (1/p) - 1 : 1, where p is the probability. Note that the cumulative column contains the probability of being dealt that hand or any of the hands ranked higher than it. (The frequencies given are exact; the probabilities and odds are approximate.)

The nCr function on most scientific calculators can be used to calculate hand frequencies; entering nCr with 52 and 5, for example, yields egin{matrix} {52 choose 5} = 2,598,960 end{matrix} as above.

Royal flush
10 of spades Jack of spades Queen of spades King of spades Ace of spades
Hand = 1
Distinct Hands Frequency = 4
Approx. Probability = 0.000154%
Approx. Cumulative = 0.000154%
Approx. Odds = 649,739 : 1
Mathematical expression of absolute frequency = {4 choose 1}

uhhcallmi I had a flush on the turn, when I check re reraised, no semi bluff. I agree I maybe shouldn't have check re raised as this probly set alarm bells ringing for him. But still I was surprised when he bet at me, called the re raise then folded my value bet on the river. He must have had jj or something. Confused

------------
My thought process on the re raise was, he hadn't really bet enough to be committed to a big river bet, I thought if he calls the check raise he will call my value bet. Then on the river I couldn't check to him again and give him a free escape, so although the turn was probably the wrong move, I no longer had a choice.

Isnt it great as you progress to start hitting the hands you never hit before. Its even nicer if you can win a big stack at the same time. Like above still waiting to get one on 888 so i can win loads of money at the same time!!!!

Nice hand. After seeing Td I bet you thought any K could come, but when you saw Ts you really started thinking this could be it, and it was, a Royal Straight Flush for Sadamman. About the hand itself, I never heard of anyone winning too much with it, and you were playing it against someone who was making short bets, maybe he wasn’t that good. If you haven’t bet those 500 after the river, maybe you could have won some more, but it wouldn’t be that much, so don’t worry, enjoy it. What about the tourney, at least you got to the paid places?

Very Nice! Always like seeing a Royal, but only one in my books for myself that is. I've seen others get one here and there, but never have seen the Club Royal. Just wanting to see all! lol

I think you forgot one important thing to tell sadamman, how style of play your opponent, aggressive or passive ? is he pot committed ? few hand before , is he check on river after bet on flop and turn ?

If he passive type , I agree with you, if he aggessive, I agree with uhhcallmi.
