OK here's the deal. I wrote in one post, that there is a possibility to create a merchandise shop quickly with cafepress. I got no response, so i decided to create one for you to see with your eyes. This is just a quick demo shop i created in half an hour or so- any designs are possible, prices are real. If admin likes the idea something similar could be done officially. I'm not sure how would implement brm points as a payment method, but it would be possible after a a payment was made, to let brm member withdraw same amount in brm point to his moneybookers account or poker account, this is open for discussion. In cafepress you can pay by paypal and credit card. Shipping charges can be seen on the shop by pressing "help" at the top left side of the shop- then just pick where you want to ship: usa, worldwide, germany, uk etc.)

I'm impressed with the variety and if the pricing is realistic it wouldn't be to bad what so ever. I don't need the "Big Boobs" addon to the logo, but I know it's just an example. I hope BRM considers taking a peek at your efforts. Hell, I'd take a jersy shirt and a hat. It would be great to add the BRM Logo (the City, Old Car and Mobsters).

yeah that's what i'm thinking too- if admin likes the idea- the official logo and the rest of stuff could be added- and any brm member could upload their own designs...i would be happy to wear something with brm logo as well thanks for response Greenmohave and yeah the prices are realistic, just don't forget to add the shipping price...if there would be any possibility to use brm point for the purchase/or partial purchase then this store could be a hit

Posted by Administrator: How much is cafepress's cut? Ie. how much does the shop-owner get to keep of the shirt price?
ok here's the deal- the prices you see are next to real- i just added $1 to them, shop owner can add any margin they want to the base prices- base prices are as you see in the shop minus $1 (added this because it was a quick option), basically you can add anything from $0.01 to a million . once the shop generates some action (over $100 in a given month) you get further 10% performance bonus...so it's a very flexible solution with no upfront costs.
if there are any further question - would be very happy to answer them- for a brm t-shirt would rob the bank if needed
P.S. well i just browsed and saw there is an extra charge from cafepress but at least it's a small one they take 10% of the royalties you earn every month- i.e. you sell a $20 t-shirt, you have a $3 markup to the base price- that means you have earned $3 in royalties, and at the end of the month cafepress would deduct $0.30 from that (they have option for premium store with flat fee, but that's only viable when the royalties are higher- so that's an option for the future i guess)

When you say the price is real it means this products will be available at this price? Even summing the shipping costs these prices look very nice. I approve the idea. I don't like much of the image you chose to put there, but that is just an example, i know, and having the BRM logo on a white shirt must be awesome. And $1 to the site owners, it's a bit too much but maybe they still haven't big deals working there. And allowing these prices is already nice. But, admin, things can always be tried to be delt.

yeah Fakiry the prices on the shop are near to real, just minus $1 from the end price and you get the real price, since shopkeeper can add any margin, i guess brm can add $0.01 if they want to just make the apparel available to brm members, and if they want to make some profit they can add as much as they want- if brm points could be used in any way for purchase then this would be even more awesome, even without brm points it would be nice to get some official brm stuff.

I checked the site and it seems nice, but i think it lacks some variety on items. Besides of course of the whole boobs thing, which i wanna believe is kinda a test run And shipping for Greece is 6.5 Euro. Not cheap at all for a single cup

Posted by Administrator: I just don't see any easy way we can integrate Mob Points into this
i see one way, not sure it is very easy, but worth considering- brm members are allowed to withdraw brm points when 5000 is reached- so depending on your position this can be lowered to the buyers of official brm merchandise to lets say 2500 ($25), or it could stay the same if you don't want any privilege to the buyers- here's how it would look- dude buys a t-shirt he pays $20+$5 for shipping=$25, he pays this from his own money- then he signal brm that he wants to withdraw 2500 points for $25 (and puts his purchase number or any other proof of purchase along with his request)- the rest is the same- he gets his money to his wallet. Or the same but with 5000 points, but that would have less reason behind this- because you are allowed to withdraw them anyway- maybe lowering requirements for withdrawal of brm points could be considered- but it's totally up to you- i just would like to see an official brm store one day p.s. maybe you have any suggestions yourself- how do you imagine the shop possible, and if brm really wants to have one? if not it's not a big problem, maybe i'm just bothering you with nonsense...

Allthough i find the variety kinda poor sorry
But like the idea and offcourse your time ect to make this is worth a
GoodJob
thanks for the recognition doomdy actually variety is the big plus of cafepress, you can put your design on +250 different products- from t-shirts to golf balls, from underwear to pet bowls- what you see in brm shop is only a work of one hour from creating account to creating a logo and launching the store- so weak variety is not an issue imho
------------ same with variety- just check cafepress.com for yourself if you want- yes shipping cost bugs me too, but hey nothing is free, and besides you can oder second item for lower shipping rate ($4 if i remember)- and as long as brm points would be intergrated in some way it would help to compensate for some expenses at least

pochui, I understand what you mean, but now that summer is here and people are going on vacation etc., it's not going to be possible for me to research/discuss this with anyone at this time.

take your time- glad to hear that the idea sits somewhere in your head- hope one day we will have an opportunity to get some official brm gear in one way or another

don't buy anything yet man- this store is just for demonstration purposes (and way to thin selection too), once the official store is opened i'm sure you see the news on brm
btw admin maybe i should close the store now- since anyone who wanted already had a peek at it, and there is no point keeping it, someone might decide to order something thinking that this is the official store for real

Hey! Cool idea. The bog boobs bit made me chuckle cos you have gone to some effort with a less than tasteful design on everything! The principle is really gopod thopugh and something BRM should consider cos it ups their marketing power also.

I definitely like the idea of being able to use BRM points to buy goods. If Tony were to greenlight this, I'd definitely buy a shirt or 2 to go with my Full Tilit Hoodies and poker star shirts Can't have too many poker related clothing items
I think there should be an option to put your affiliate link on the shirts though, that way if someone sees you wearing it, and decides to check the site out, you can get credit for referring them
