Love is a magnificent feeling, but the end of it can create big damage in life, specially in professional life, even more in a profession where the mind should be completely focused on the activity, like poker. At this profession, sometimes time take a bit to pass and that leaves space in the mind to think about other things, which can turn into damage on the game.

i personally think that what he wrote was wrong. if it was my gf cheating on me i would have probably put her into the hospital. the one thing i could never forgive

I agree with both Island and Noonlion. What idiots think it is so important that I know when they went shopping or got up late !!! I don't care that this blokes gf fucked him over, S**T happens as they say.

Ain't love Grand, lucky in life unlucky in love. Sounds like poor Matt went against his better judgement for a long while and got his just desserts for ignoring all the signs. It's hard to keep things to yourself working on a false premise to only have your worst nightmares confirmed. I have a friend who is a very profitable Poker player and he is weird with woman. Utterly guarded and skeptical. Maybe its his inner poker player telling him there is no value in someone dating him unless his poker money is involved but he is weird. He reacted exactly like this when nearly the same thing happened. Im sure it takes alot for these high stakes players to trust someone and when things go awry its like an affirmation for why they should never trust anyone.
