Pochui Freeroll  0
Hi all, i have received my first cashout from brm recently. To celebrate this, i decided to give some to "charity" Big Smile . I will be holding a freeroll for mob forum regulars. Gonna donate a huge amount of $5 to the prizepool. Gonna organize this freeroll in pokerstars via home games feature. We can do tis two ways- first: $0.10+0.01 buy in tourney- you can buy in directly and i will send you money back, or give me your pokerstars user id and wait until i send you money.around 50 players max. second way is to organize a freeroll and to distribute those $5 equally to all players in the money (top 20%). no max players, but home games max is 100 (unless a contact to support to lift the max).
Hey it's not a million freeroll (maybe some time in the future Big Smile ), but i hope to get some of your attention- only forum regulars, since i spent a lot of time reading your posts and writing comments on them.
Since i like slow tourney structure it's gonna be tourney with 20.000 starting chip stack, and 20 min blinds.
Not sure about the date yet, maybe this saturday (open for ideas).

Waiting for any suggestions, thoughts Agree

that sounds like an awesome idea. very good of you to use half your hard earned cashout money aswell.
i would be willing to play if it was at the right time. i would use the winnings(if i won) to try and get more of a bankroll and host another one. could try and make it of a more regular thing. Big Smile Big Smile

good luck with it. hope it goes well Thumbs Up

That's a great thing to do! What site are you planning to setup on? just curious since I probably wouldn't be able to attend, but keep posting the plans / status. Still a very keen thing to do.

Good idea. I had fun with the BRM HU championships, so sign me up for this one as well...

It's nice playing against fellow forum members (in the BRM freerolls, I hardly ever encounter anyone from here...).

I hope a lot of the regulars will be able to join...

Maybe you should create a doodle, to select a date and time that is suitable for most interested players?

Nice to see that even from such a relatively small win you decide to share something with the community Smile

I'm very busy to hit a new status on 888 poker so i don't think i'll be able to participate but it's a great idea Blink

it's on pokerstars, sad if you cannot play. actually thought about the second option (freeroll and then prize pool distributed to all in the money) with you in mind.

well you can start here Big Smile

so far there are about 5 players, gonna wait for at least 20 (just forum regs, others don't waste your time) then gonna post the invite code for home games club and send out the buy ins.
Not sure lots of dudes gonna post on doodle link to find the best time to play- so if not enough responses gonna be there, and enough interest showned on this thread i believe this saturday at 20.00 eet could be tha date, but i'm flexible enough Confused

I would. But, not with that ridiculous structure. 20k stack 20 min blinds. Have you even looked at the blind structure. It will take 7 1/2 hours for it to be shove or fold. F**K THAT. I wouldn't be happy with that structure if it was for a mil.

I think sadamman is right poch....starting stack and blinds are a little odd..... is the blind structure 100/200 20min blinds? also 20minutes is a little long time for blind to increase...maybe 10min blind is more better... 20k starting stack 50/100 or 100/200 10 min blinds i think.....at least we have 200BB or 100BB at start of tournament...

glad you're having a great time Big Smile now why this slow structure? i think there is plenty of turbo's and even hyper's around, and i personally enjoy classic poker, where your are not rushed to make decisions by time, only by situations itself- therefore i enjoy cash games more. this slow structure would't mean you can't go all in anytime and there would be no callers, would it? it would just allow players to wait for better cards/situations etc. but if most of the players would want a faster structure i have nothing against that, cheers Thumbs Up

at the end of the day pochui its your tourny and your money so you should decide on what structure you want.
the first depositers freerolls on i-poker start with 20k 100/200 blinds and 10min levels and it plays quite well.
i think if you had 20k starting stack, start at 50/100 and 12min levels that would suit everyone. that would be a nice structured tourny.

but as i said above its your tourny do what YOU want.

good luck and thanks alot

That's the thing, on PS I don't think you can edit the blind struture so it would be 10/20 15/30 etc the normal structure pretty much. This would take far too long.

I'm not saying don't do a tourney like that, it's his money. I'm saying I'm not playing a tourney which is such an endurance.

------------
I just think everybody will be waiting for jj, qq, kk, or aa, or people will moan when they lose on the aces they've been waiting for for 4 hours.

well if you cant change the blind structure then it would defo have to be re-thunk.
3 or 4k stack might be better with 12min blinds

yep sadam is right- you cant change blind structure (cant recall what it starts at, but something from 10/20 to 20/40) so i think something like 5000 starting stack and 10 min blinds would do?

F**K THAT.

Beer

btw maybe you dudes are interested in knockout format (buy in is $0.10+0.02+0.01) with 2 cents for each knockout- for a fiver around 40 dudes could participate Confused

Yeah I'd do something like that, I just get frustrated in long tourneys and turn into a donk. Tongue
