I'll pony up for some last-longer bets... Evil

Bounties would be a nice idea.

Another thing we could do, is for those who don't already have funds on PS, they could buyin with points.

I totally think it should be a shootout Smile Say 6-max since I'm guessing the field would be smaller. A shootout would make bounties more fun too.

Does the Home Games allow bounties?

I just checked, and no I guess it doesn't. Well, you can do knock out bounties, but the amount is fixed and relatively small compared to the buy-in.

Another thing that concerns me, is how the tourney will be raked. I really like the idea of using points to buyin more and more, and just setting the buy-in as play money in the tourney itself.

The upside to doing it that way is, we could also do bounties as well and just have Tony take points out according to everything before the tourney runs.

home games allow only knockout format with around 20% bounty on each players head.

another way we can set this up, and imho this is the easier way- set up a freeroll in stars home games, buy in with same amount we decide to play for (let's say $1, in this case we would buy in with $1.10 play money) and then those who get in the money will be credited mobpoints according to their finish, and those who didn't win would feel the pain- mobpoins will be deducted from their account Big Smile this is of course depends solely on Tony Worship
this way anyone interested can play if he has enough mobpoints in their brm accounts, let's say $5 buyin would mean 500 mobpoints deducted from account, probably the rake would go to Tony Big Smile any ideas Confused

LOL i dont have any points Big Smile not been on much and posts i do tend not to be long enough Big Smile

Il do points if i have to but come on people you cant $1! i mean i would struggle to buy a can of coke for $1

As for rake its bloody 10 cents lol

didn't read this thoroughly, you basically had the same idea Thumbs Up

in reality bounties are an issue- they are hard to track, basically each player will have to tell how many heads he has scalped in the tourney, and this will not show in the prize money...let's say guy finished outside the money, but he scalped 3-4 players, so he has won some, but this doesn't show...therefore this is just a pain in the ass...imo those who want some last-longer bets should arrange those themselves...then again this is only because i believe Tony is interested only in those offers which make him work less Hit PC

i have nothing against buying in with cash, just have a feeling that in the cold cash buy in scenario we will not get enough faces to have a decent tourney, probably two tables sit and go is something we will finish at. On the other hand if we go with mobpoints even the same $1 buy in would mean that anyone on this site can easily participate, man just post a few days in the forum and you have your 100 mobpoints, this way we can get a decent crowd imho...open to offers
Aww crap!

I am totally up for this. How about a points buy in say of 100 points for tourney, 50 points for bounty and 10 points for rake. This would work for me. A shoot out tourney would be great as well. Time to get to know people on your table a bit more and create some community feeling. Great idea Retribution. I am sorry but otherwise I havent got a clue how and who could set this up though. I guess Tony (the Man) would need to have a lot of input.

Worship Worship Worship

Thanks Tony and GL all.

As always im in

I'm in if we play for mob points, I can't really afford to do any buy-in atm unless we play on PartyPoker where I've got some freeroll winnings to play for.

Im constantly amaized with this stuff. You live in Sweden and you cant afford lets say 2$ to play tourney... Great stuff Smile

There are quite a few reasons for me actually.
1. I'm unemployed
2. I only have like $400+pokerwinnings a month to live on
3. I've got bills to pay for about $200
4. My girlfriend lives 250 kilometers away and it costs about $70 every time we get together, which we do 2 times a month and we pay half each meaning $70 a month for me
5. I need to buy food and try to have a life with what I have left.

So as you may see, just because I live in Sweden it doesn't mean that I'm that well off. The only reason that I actually get by right now is because of my winnings on poker since I know where to find the biggest fish on PartyPoker.

Dont want to argue with you but you are young and if you dont have job you have parents to support you or some other incomes. You dont live of 400$ freeroll winnings thats for sure.

Anyway, I could organize tourney on sunday with 2$ buy in. And we could see how many people will play this time. BUT, I did it many times and 5-6 players was biggest pool Sad
What is best is if Tony could ask Stars for 2$ BI tourney every sunday for example. He could add 500- 1k mob points to winner besides prize pool or provide like 10-25$ money added just to be more interesting and to get more sign ups on brm from ppl who play for money.

------------
Oh yes, or instead of added points/ money to make buy in leaderboard. That would be huge for us who are not into 5k players freerolls donkfests.

Flippedchips: I only enter freerolls and when I have enough on my account for some cashgames I'll get my money on there and when I reach a total of $5 I enter some $1 tourneys and when I get up to a total $50 bankroll, I'll withdraw at least $45 of those.

jovicakralj: I didn't say I got $400 from freerolls, I said I get $400 + my poker winnings (which aren't all that much since I can't afford any higher buy-in then maybe $2 if I'm lucky after a good run on freerolls and cash). So a good month, I'll get a total of $500. Well, I live with my mom since my dad is just worthless piece of sh*t and the economy isn't all that good so I pitch in about $180/month and the other $20 is so I'll be able to use my phone. So well, sure my mom pays for a lot but it's not like I can just keep all my money I get because I live at home. At least not as the situation is right now.

In any case, yes I could possibly put up maybe $2-3 for a tourney, the only problem then is that since I don't have any funds on any other site then PartyPoker, I would have to deposit (I doubt I'll be able to get the money otherwise unless I play freerolls hardcore which I don't, I have a life too) and I can't afford to deposit any money at all to a poker site. So the issue isn't that I have a problem with depositing onto a poker site or anything like that, the problem is solely that I just can't afford it right now.

I won’t be able to go for one of these during these August weekends, but i wish evey mobsters who enter this a very good luck and the hope to enjoy the game learning with each others. If you do it on PS, remember to take some hand history in the new format. I still haven’t watched any, but it seems to be the best. Do you think we will be able to save this new format and share it around here?

I'm in for anything ! ....as usual. Big Smile

Just give me a place, date, time and buy-in or not.
I usually suck at these in-house thingies, but I lov 'em. Blink

Don't think a buck ten will break anyone? Or two bucks for that matter....if the date and time work for me I'll be there.

if Tony doesn't have time/will for this and we want a bigger crowd than two tables we should go for min buy in, in home games this is $0.10+0.01, we all understand this tourney is just for fun/ bragging rights, a virtual meet-up kinda, so the buy in shouldn't put anyone in a position where they would feel like it's too much, maybe to some $100 buy in would be a regular one, but i believe the bigger the buy in the less people we will have...

Yeah I'm keen mob points, or real money. I would prefer a $1-3 buy in, if it were to be real money though.

5 minute blinds, 3k starting stack.

Well that's nice enough, but you can't just make a tournament without having everyone have a say on the buyin/structure and time. No offense, but until everyone agrees, I won't participate because you can't just start a tournament based on what you want and basically force everyone else to agree to it.

glad someone finally moved from plain talks to something real- great that you went for a min buy in tourney, gonna be interesting to see how big the crowd is gonna be- not sure about the structure you opted for, just haven't seen it yet, hope it's not 3 min blinds Smile good luck to all participants, see you on sunday, though it's a bit to late for my liking, something like two hours earlier would be sweet

This is exactly why we need to hammer out a time to play, that's mutually acceptable for everyone. Once we can all agree on a set time and buyin/structure, I'll go ahead and post a tournament. There's a few regs on her that are already part of my home game club from the last tourney, so we can just use that one.

Anyone that hasn't already done so, can join the home game:

- Enter my Club ID number: 632101
- Enter my Invitation Code: BRMMEMBERS
