I have got along way to go but still alot of time on the clock to reach my goal and taste that beautiful bottle of Scotlands finest export I am on the right track by building the foundations for the weekend grindes in the second round freerole by optaining the tickets, ohhh the golden tickets lol

i tried a similar thing on ps, more out of stubborness though lol, to prove to my already deposited mates it could be done. never managed to get much above $40 from it though, finally decided its better to deposit a little bit to give yourself a decent chance at a good chunk. also you can get into bad habits tailoring your play to freeroll opponents. saying that though 5 tickets from the hubble is pretty impressive and there is half decent cashes for winning the weekend round 2s. add to those the occasional special regional freerols and you might even bag a seat at the next ukipt or something. also there is some good value if you can build up enough fpps from your freeroll winnings to go in the 5+R fpps to the sunday storm or big $3.30 for instance(lots of dead money) to smash that barrier very quickly, ive personally got an $11 sunday storm entry for 1 5fpp buyin and 1 add-on. good luck with your challenge.

5 tickets under my belt so far, 3 from the Hubble, 1 from Sagans (HORSE) & 1 from Cassinis (STUD)
And 5c from the 6am BRM freerole, so i am off the mark, feels good to get the account of the zero mark no matter how small the cash was
So 5 tickets down 11 to go to beable to play the 2 second round freeroles a week on the sat and sunday
nice to see you off the mark- really good thing is that you have some tickets under your belt- those $1000 freerolls are your best chance to achieve your goal imho. keep grinding, you're on the right track

Exciting! Going from $0 to $250 playing only freerolls will not be easy at all, and to turn things even worst you will be playing at PS, where there are more players and more confusion at the tables. If you could play with real money after start earning some, i would say you could do it, taking in consideration your experience atother rooms. But, even making money, keep playing only freerolls... that will take a long time before you reach the bottle GL

thank you pochui, i have also cashed a few times in the BRM freerole a few 5cents here and there but i agree getting the ticket for the two weekly round 2's and grinding in them for any cash possible,the bigger the better. This weekend will be the first two so that is good, and a bonus is that i also play Omaha,stud,razz and most Hi/lo increases my chances and because the sunday freerole changes from week to week i also stand a better chance in cashing because my skills are not just focused on the one "hold Em" thanks for your support and trying to keep this thread updated as much as possible, expect an update on Sat & Sun for results and cashes in these 2 round 2's
------------ @ Fakiry, As i said in my tournament challenge m8, when i cash in these freeroles which i can asure you i will, i can use that money in any game i choose, weather it will be ring-games tournaments zoom etc. i play all omaha games, many NL hold em but will probs play pot limit for a period when i cash to protect from going bust and having to start from scratch again. play razz.stud game also so i have alot of options to increase my bankrole
Will be playing in both second round freeroles this weekend to hopefully make a good start to my challenge on the first weekend of these second rounders. I hope that clears things up, i did state the rules in my first entre but never mind.

Jammy, wish you all the best for the 2 nd rounds this weekend.
I hope you can make some $ so you can play some ring or SNG with buy-in after thiis weekend.
Remember it s tricky to play buy-in tables with a small bankroll of less than 5$
Maybe it will be also interesting to see your bankrollmanagement throughout your challenge, to see at what stakes you play in function of your bankroll.
Sounds like a fun challenge I think I would be possible win some freeroll. Play some micro sit and goes or penny tables I prefer the 10 cent sit and goes when I'm low On cash I seem to be able to turn 1-2$ into 10-15$ at them games before I move on. I have grinned out about 75$ before in a couple nights of play from winning 3$ from afreeroll So it's quite possible.

Ok so here we are the first Sat round 2 all done and Dusted...
Played a solid game through out the tournament, one or two mistakes a couple of hours in but nothing on a large scale to make a big impact to my stack. Sat in a final table position for ruffly 3 and a half hours. So am sitting with just over 405k.. The short stack at the table moves all in, 86 odd k, i call, folds round to button he shoves for 28k less than my stack. I call, cards are turned... short stack 8-8... K-K is shown by other stack and then me... A-A.. FLOP draws a blank board scattered cards.. TURN a J....... And now the River... Yes you guessed it a.... K. BOOM. In saying that i was alittle gutted but all in all i no i played well and getting put out when you play well is far a better feeling than if you play bad, so i finished in 19th place out of 6778 a hand after for $4.40. Oh well onto the next one on Sunday i think its Omaha HI, i am a keen player at that also so =i expect a cash in that aswell

awesome dude- now your roll is really off the mark- $4.40 allows you to take shots at fl cash tables, smaller sng's or mtt's- i though it will be te hardest thing for you to get your starting roll, but you managed to do that in flying colors- gg, waiting for further updates. cheers

Thank you m8, I really appreciate the kind comments and following i am getting from this, i feel maybe it is helping my game slightly
I got up early to play the BRM but crashed out early but sh*t happens. Had a 30min spell on Zoom, and bank roll now @ $8.27. That will now be left alone and a break is needed, nearly 100hrs of play since i have started so fatigue setting in abit now, best to avoid the tables in that situation i think

That AA vs KK vs 88 was sickening - those are the sort of hands that can win you a tournament or kill you, you know u did the right thing so all gravy all the same.

@pochui, Yes i remember in one of your earlier posts you said i would probably fail, but its your right to voice your opinion m8 and appreciate your honesty. I am not doing this to prove anyone wrong, i am simply doing it to see if (I)i can and have some fun on the way
@noonlion. Yes m8 was abit sickening but thats poker for you, i took it on the chin, blinds at this point were 10k & 20k about 6&half hrs of play so it broke my chances, if i had won the hand i would of been in 1st place with 18players left so a defo final table & it was more than possible to take the crown & my challenge would of been over but by the by now, its tucked away in the back of the mind and i will move on from it. So to sum up the first weekend. My first second round with a cash of $4.40 finishing in (19th)... took $2 onto Zoom and boosted the BR to $8.27. I have had a sleep, a good feed, took another $2 onto zoom and now the BR is at $17.48. I have decided not to play in todays 2nd round, reason being, in the past 72hrs i have played 51hrs with a 25hr run over Friday and Sat. I think that is a sensible decision weather the followers agree or not. Just so people no, i am now going to start posting hands on BOOM the best and worst, weather its a good or bad play.. WHY? its really for the people who are following this challange. I have made no decisions on how i am going to start playing with the BR i have bulit so far. So any advice or comments on this subject will be greatly appreciated. Even though i feel i have good BR managment i would like to involve people in this as much as possible so your thoughts would be great, as i said before i have played POKER for 17yrs so i have great insite into bankrole management but still any comments/advice will still be taken on board and considered, maybe someone no's of a good low stake tournament that had passed my attention etc etc..

excellent start to your bankroll already mate in the private tourneys go through them all and try and register..any that need a password you can just google it and get the password..tbh the BRM freerolls are prety poor to cash in as everyone plays them..i've noticed a lot of private freerolls you need a ticket for so BRM should look into this and issue all members with the ticket...will stop all those others who cant be bothered joining BRM from playing in the freerolls.
get some sleep and by the time your update comes tomorrow you should have twice as much cash

@grahamy, Do you have any of those private tournaments in mind m8, as many freeroles i can play the better. As it stands i already play in every bankrole there is. I am even going as far as playing the 10pm one, if i crash out i go to bed set the alarm for 1.30am to play in the 2am and so on i dont miss one but so far have only managed the 5c cash I do aswell play in the pokerstars skill league (finshed that last month with 1876points top 2000 i think but dont quote me on that) which is great because it starts at the same time as the BRM freerole. For the tickets into the Second Round-Sat,Sun i play
Le Verrier's 8-game,Newton's NL 5-card draw, Ptolemy's NL 2-7, Hubbles NL Hold'em,,Caddinis Stud ,Tombaugh's mixed (PLHE,PLO) Halleys PL Omaha Hi,Hawking's FL Hold-em, Kepler's FL Razz,Sagans HORSE and Eddington's Stud Hi/Lo. I figure i should play everyone of the freeroles i no how to play untill i have all the tickets i need for the 2months i have got to complete my challenge. 16 tickets in all. I have got 9 now did have 10 but used one on Saturday, so only five to go 3 in Hubble, 3 in Omaha, 2 in Stud, 1 Razz , 1 8game..
I would appreciate if you see any additional freeroles to let me no either by replying to my posts or emailing [email protected], that goes for any1 who is reading my posts and is interested in my challenge
I said it before but will say it again, thanx to everyone who is posting and replying to this thread it great to see that us pokerplayers really do stick together and come together threw this beautiful game
