Decided to Play 1st SnG in 2 Months  0
Decide to play an 18 player SnG for a mere $1.10 after placing top 20 in the $800 guarantee Freezeout just to see how well I could hang with players.
In my mind this generally harder to make the final Table of should say top three payout due to there being some really patient players. Which there were! It was also a very good game where the last three of us went up and down with being the chip leader. In the end I did come out on top, but it was more about learning tonight. I forgot how sitting there patiently to play only my better hands versus some of the riskd one takes in the rebuy tournies. I recognized how diversed my playing is knowing you have one chance in an SnG where at least up until there are no more rebuys allowed one tends to take chance on less capable hands.
Not that I'm good enough to be consistent or anything, but to go back to something I haven't played in a long time, but for the first year in poker that's about all I would play it seemed like a whol;e different feeling now versus then. Maybe I rattling on to the point of boring, but I did take a 1st palce which was comforting.

Thanks Mobsters for all the great advice in the past year and a half.

Very nice Green, great to see you are doing well on carbon poker Blink

I never asked you but what cashout option do american players have on carbon poker? I have a friend that will move to US in 3 months or so and it's interested to find out.

Good for yoy to win first place.I like to play double up sng,is faster the action and weaker the rezistance.Try turbo mode to speed up the action.Hyper turbo is more like bingo,I do not play.
Good luck Thumbs Up

That was very good results, congrats !I got back from a two weeks vacations about one week ago and i still didn't have had time to log any poker room to play a single game, i think i will do it this weekend. I will probably play some $2,20 SnGs, and only if i have a lot of time i will think about trying a little tourney ($5 buy-in max). Let's see how will it work my restart...

I see you are getting the hang of it with first place finishes Smile
Good one also.
Keep it that way with more top finishes.
Dont forget though not to keep to much money in the site, since you never know
with that DOJ thing Smile

Gratz at first for your first place. In sng´s with a low buyin it is not easy to know what the opponents hold. I saw it in the past, that often 3-4 players are limping in every hand with every hand. Its a hard way to win longterm against the maniacs.

^Yeah. I think if your knowledge of poker is good then it's a bit of a crapshoot on low BI tourneys, you get donks raising and calling large raises with s**t like J3 suited and so on.

My return to SNG's on PS has been horrid - some totally woefull donkouts against me.

Helped by PS's 'let's knock the short stack with the best hand preflop out technology' (c)

The only way I've ever been able to cashout is by check since I'd to scraed to issue by bank account. I just think it's safe even if it takes a couple weeks before you receive the check. Also, minimum cashout is $100 which isn't worth pizzing with, but my initial request was for the $100 just to evaluate time, risk, complication, etc. Good Luck

Thanks all for the kind words. I wish you all luck on the tables and do mean it when I say I've gained alot of my patience and better skills by reading threads posted by all the Mobsters in this forum. Not that I'm consistently a good player, but when I do place in the $$ I believe a lot of input came from this forum.
And, my 2nd Sng for $2.20 buyin / 18 player was another 1st place so I'm sharing it also!

Your on a good flow , green, keep it that way.

From my experience in SNG's and torneys it s very important to be patient and you have to use your position. Especially whenm you have them with a low buy-in you have some gamblers at your table.
Also try to avoid a big pots with 3 or more players , better wait for other opportunities.

Thanks for the info green, considering the last developments in US i also think it's a safer to use a check than an direct bank transfer...

It would be great if your gov would speed up and legalize the online gambling industry in order to be able to use all cashout options(especially e-wallets).
