Hollywood home games are the stuff of poker folklore where multi-millionaire actors tussle with a select group of poker pros for huge amounts of money. The likes of Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio are well known for being poker enthusiasts
Documenting a fleet of famous faces who attend games throughout Hollywood, a recent article on Hollywood Interrupted explains that these "friendly games" are actually "highly capitalized, and are anything but friendly".

The call it friendly games because they can't call it professional games. They must look more like games between players from only one profession, which would be actors, but knowing they call some poker pros to joining them, that must be why they call it friendly, for being between "friends", known people who use to gather around in other places than not just the poker table.

well that makes sense- actors have plenty of money, and poker pro's are after it. look around the world- those pro's are going everywhere they can find high stakes action involving people not from poker world- businessmen, actors, porn stars Big Smile (put that in by accident)- they are always on the lookout for games where they think they have an edge...

Frankly i think there is actually a real story about these high stakes cash games between well known actors and producers...

I tend to give some credit to this stuff because i heard over the years on news all kind of similar news about it. Not sure if those stories are real or not but i think they do play on some important $$$

I've watched these games before and seen some pretty brutal things although they cut out most of it to make it appear to be a friendly game of poker, but you can often read an individuals emotions by the way they are ACTING towards another player. These games are usually televised, but of course not live. If you hear other let me know/ Would enjoy watching!

I guess that if i had more money than sense or than what i knew what to do with, and i had a bit of an interest in poker, i may squander a little n a game or two and how else betterr than to improve my game than to get in some pros and play at a safe location where youre not going to get hassled.
