After 5 days of poker Emil Olsson was crowned the champion of the 2012 WPT Copenhagen Main Event. The Swedish youngster bested a field of 229 players and defeated Morten Klein from Norway heads-up to become the latest WPT Champions Club member. He received 1,200,000 DKK ($229,938) and a $25k seat in the WPT Championship at the Bellagio.

Wow, this guy is really young, do Sweden's got a poker promise here or this was just a big shot the boy gave? I guess he must have had others experiences, guys like this don't have their first time on such an event. But it's nice to see new faces, just hope he also helps his parents, if they happen to need.

You know Fakiry, it's natural that we see more and more fresh faces. It's normal in each game/sport, etc. Old players are replaced by young. Although poker is game even for old players, but fresh sharks want some part of cake too

Although it took a lot of luck to make it to heads-up play, Emil Olsson didn't need any bad beats to grind away at Morten Klein. After taking the lead, all of the chips eventually went in preflop and Olsson's KdKc was way ahead of Klein's Kh8d. The board ran Jd5d3d9h3s, and Emil Olsson was crowned the first-ever WPT Copenhagen champion.
