The best covers are always very different from the original and yet a homage to the song. Just like film remakes, there is no point remaking a classic with substandard tools (bigger budgets but less talent) but if you can play with the original material, work it into something new yet familiar, and input your own voice without screaming over your predecessor, then you fit into a very select group of people called genius.
As for this cover, I hated it. But points to them for trying. lol Although shortening the chorus by those two extra beats between "alone" and "hey" is surely a crime in music.

You need to understand that this is not real cover, I mean they did not put this in any album or so, this is probably played in some pub or something, just for laughs. And my opinion is that they did pretty good job.

I understood that. You can tell that they just wanted to have fun with a classic popular track and put the serbian twist on it, which is cool. That's what I was getting at; I like musicians who try something different, who experiment with their craft. I just didn't like this particular product, not my thing I guess.
