Hi Barbs, before anyone can give you any tips or help could you supply us with details of what kind of games you are playing. Is it full table or short handed you are playing? Then maybe we can point you in the right direction for decent strategies. But in the mean time remember the basics.... Patience Patience Patience. Position Position Position. Aggression is fine as long as your playing the right hands in the right position.

When I'm down in poker, I take a break and maybe watch some poker pros and maybe read a poker book. Harrington on Hold'em helped me get back into poker but I'm a tournament player.
HELLO BARBARA. I LIKE AGGRESSIVE STRATEGY, BUT IF IS AN UNLUCKY PERIOD I THINK THAT YOU MUST HAVE A LOT OF PATIENCE AND PLAY QUIET. YOU CAN ALSO TAKE A LITTLE BREAK AND PLAY POKER LATER. GOOD LUCK

Hy barbara
it seemslike you have a psycholgical problem with your play there are alot of good articles around the net which concern with this kind of problems just search google ! found this site pretty interesting: http://www.launchpoker.com/psychology/
maybe it will help you keep your patience and never forget poker should be fun, don't force yourself to play it's supposed to be entertainment so just enjoy your play and keep your patience and fun at playing

Don't bother with books. Most of them are outdated and have pretty bad advice imo. Search back a couple of pages in this forum and look for Fees 5k Post. Read it. If you haven't come across a lot of this strat then you have to revolutionise the way you think.
Search on google for internet poker forums. Read them solidly. Try to understand what is being said
first of all it was just to show that in 2 months not one my bankroll had risen and 2 ive been playing poker for 6 months winning.. and 3 how do you know I suck>>? have you ever seen me play ??

Hi, well its very good you are agressive in poker beacuse thats the style all very good players use but on low stakes i assume you play them.. ? you should calm down and play normal TAG (tight agressive) nothing else just play simple ABC of Poker and you will be winning player if you want to read some poker books try Sklanky's book also read some forums like twoplustwo read the strategy forums, read posted hands start spending more time on your poker hands after session and watch how you played and ask yourself if you could play better etc. Good luck
haha petrassi so funny (not) go do something useful

Okay I really hope you can consider my advice. When i turned 19 i hit the casino's hard, like everyday within 3 months i had made over 30,000 dollars between poker and blackjack. i took a week off. ONLY A WEEK, and when i came back to poker i lost 8,000 in a night. i got beat with a boat of AAA55 by a guy holding poket 5's so it wasnt just bad play. You have to play tight. JJ-QQ-KK-AA or any combination of both (some peopel will consider 10-10 as well) play tight for an entire SNG or two. what has happen is you obviously have gotten cocky.. but you lost your rythm for playing. as far as the bets raises, what to do with what hand. You took a break so all you are playing is on recent memories of the amazing hands where J8 suited beat KK type of thing. just look at you schedule and for a week PLAN the SNGs or the tourneys you play in . When i get like that I might only play 1 a day for a week. and i plan them when im free for at least 3-5 hours and i play tight. In all honesty i write on a piece of paper that if 10,000 people enrol i will play only JJ-QQ-KK-AA until less than 3,000 are left, and then i will play any Suited ace etc. (open up). you have to calm your self down off of that winning streak and get a rythm back.
