Aussie Million's charity event.   0
The annual Aussie Millions kicked off with a $1,100 No Limit Hold'em tournament.
However, with a host of stars descending on the Crown Casino, thoughts are already turning to Sunday's charity event.
Now in its sixth year, Shane Warne and Joe Hachem's $1,000 tournament will feature a number of famous faces such as actress Elizabeth Hurley, Patrik Antonius and Annette Obrestad.
Since its inception the event has raised over $6,000,000 and has become "one of the biggest charity days of the year" according to Warne.
Once completed, the Aussie Millions schedule continues with a varied range of tournaments, including a $10,000 Main Event and two high stakes spectacles with buy-ins of $100,000 and $250,000.

Attracting pros and celebrities alike, the $1,000 tournament got off to a good start with Jeep giving away one of their luxury cars in a pre-tournament raffle.

Once the initial frivolities were out of the way, it was time to get down to business as famous Australian faces, such as Andy Lee (Comedian) and Jeff Fenech (Boxer), battled with the likes of Sam Holden and Annette Obrestad.

As with all charity events, the mood in the room was relaxed for everyone: except for Joe Hachem.

After making it through to Day 2 of Event 1, the Australian pro was forced to multi-table across two tournaments.

The pressure didn't seem to affect him, though, as he made the final table of his charity event before exiting Event 1 in 14th place.
