its a nice list,but next time it would be awesome if you could put links to homepages or wikipedia for each winner because there are some people who are totally unknowns to the common poker player and it would be nice to get to know something about their achievements

hmmm european poker awards, kinda interesting concept...cool night to get well known faces together, just to have some fun, laidback atmosphere, no money involved. probably lads enjoyed themselves, yeah maybe there was some competition in terms of "why u mother fcuker got an award and i dodn't", but it's a minor issue imo

I went to do some research to see if these were all the prizes given on this event or if there were some more, like, for instance, Portuguese player of the year, but I haven’t found anything about that on the net. There are only nine countries named with a payer of the year, and Europe’s got a lot more countries, where I believe there’s also professional poker players. So, can anyone explain me the reason for the player of the year by country to exist only these countries?

i agree there are a lot of them that are unknows, and another thing is i dont understand why i player like kara scot, and how can gus hansen get the lifetime award, hes only been in the game for 10-11 years, a bit early in my oppoinen
