The past few months have been ridiculously busy for me, I'm going to have to update my blog soon. Yesterday was no exception and by the time the day was done and I could sit down, relax, and play a few games of poker I was seriously beat. I started a low dollar BI SNG on 888, 4 man max "nitro" where top 3 make the money, and after nodding off briefly a few times I took it down. It was only 9:30 so I figured one more, started a 9 man SNG and was doing okay, survived the bubble in good shape with me and two other guys left when - black out! Woke up two hours later, saw that I finished in second place and went to bed. So my poll is just that - how often do you fall asleep while playing the virtual felt?

Happened me once, during a MTT: when I realized i was falling asleep for a few minutes I started shoving almost ATC and....can't really remember how it ended.
True story
Voted for "once in a while" option but maybe correct answer for me is "Welcome to middle age magatt"

I only remember of happening to me once, and it was last Monday. I played a $0.30 SnG at FTP at 21h30 with three paid places ($0.25 for the 3rd and entrances to another torney to 1st and 2nd). I got 1st and then I realized the other tourney would be at 01h15, and I usually go to bed soon because my daily job makes me be awake at 06h00. So I went to sleep and the buzzer woke me up five minutes before the start. I started playing but the eyes kept closing and I only remember of playing one hand. After 30 minutes, I opened the eyes again, I was still there but my mind was pushing me to the bed, so I went all-in with 1/6 of the starting chips and the game helped my mind on its task.
I haven't fallen asleep yet, during a session, but I do sometimes fall asleep before starting an MTT that I've registered for.
I remember one day (night actually), I woke up only to find myself all-in with less than a BB. I won the hand, and within no time I regained a sizable stack, getting lucky with all-in almost every hand, and ended op in 2nd place out of 8000+.
This was my best result for quite a while, and remains my strangest result still (it being an unusual "chip and a chair" story).

G'day mate
If you know you are that bloody tired before hand you should not even be thinking about playing poker for money. It is really amazing you did not lose all your cash doing this. Do not get me wrong mate I too have played when I was extremely tired and have put in marathon sessions which lasted up to 38 hours once online. I was running hot but the last few hours I lost over half what I had made before do to stupid mistakes. Playing when you are over tired is a good way to lose you bankroll.

I agree, that's why when I am that tired I'll just play low dollar BI SNG, whereas normally my game is cash. But I agree that when I am super tired like that I am at my tiltiest - and with a lot of effort I have been winning the tilt war for almost 4 weeks now.

As like yourself I work all week and some Saturdays and usually in bed by 8:00 or 9:00 pm. On Friday's I'm always ready to get home from work and from a mental standpoint think I'm going to stay up late and play some poker. Well by 9:30 pm I'm nodding off and I don't know how many times the wife comes in tells me to go to bed. Of course I sit up and act as if I know what's going on, but have been blinded as to where I'm even at as far as from a player standpoint.
So yeah! It's happened! I fallen totally out and woke up to not even caring where I was, just so tired I manage to brush my teeth and go to bed. I pizzed away several $1.10 games due to this!
After about an hour or two I get bored so fall asleep or go to the bar .. And come back to the game after being sat out ... And then find out that I'm in the money on the lower payouts

Quite often actually - when I play all night sessions, but I'm not sober - don't think I've ever "nodded off" sober while playing poker.
------------ Though there has been plenty of times I've been playing in an MTT and I know it's got hours to go and I just can't be bothered any more and I'll go to bed while it's still running - regardless of how well I'm doing in it.

Happened to me about 10 days ago in the Final game of MiniFTOPS on FT. After playing about 4 hours I wa still in and a break started (was midnight in my country). Already had 2 or 3 beer and just closed my eyes for a few seconds. Woke up around 2 a.m. and saw my finishing place arounf 25 places before the money

Just for kicks I reviewed the history for this SNG, and attached is the picture showing the hand where my two opponents went all in and one of them got knocked out, allowing me to finish in second place - all while being sound asleep!

If it is buy in games im trying to figure out how long it will take to finish if it starts late. And that assuming that im gonna reach close to the final table, which is a rare case But i have quit lots of freerolls going good, and went to bed. In some of them ive managed to get paid too.
