Our old fridge in the basement conked out. I decided yesterday it was time for it to go. Early on it was evident that I wouldn't be able to take it up the stairs and out by myself, but instead of waiting until a friend can come over I decided to take it apart to lighten it. Two and a half hours later the doors were off, the compressor/motor out and the inner liner removed. I was gonna get the fridge out come hell or high water. Just like dad...

That's funny to think your feeling like a stubborn old man! At least it's all for the best as I see it. Your story makes me think back about 15 years ago when I was visiting my Father out in Arizona and I was working on his cactus garden and it was getting late. They were on me about getting in the house to cleanup and eat. Of course I wanted to finish getting this boulder out of the ground besides clean up the mess I already had. When I made it in about an hour and a half later, whilst be bitched at a bit for taking so long the comment was made about how I'd grown up to be just like my Father. It's a good feeling! I mean I'm sure you cherish time with your Father and it's a good feeling to have him in you!

Good Luck Always!
Nice story Green.
When you are a kid you think you are going to do everything different from the way your parents did, and then you find yourself getting older and talking to your kids in the same way. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
