That's classic what you want ? to win when you have good cards? no way, that's why i hate online poker hope you pass it and win with 2-7o vs AA vs KK and then you'll feel better

I often hear people saying that poker is a game of chance. For me, this is kind of offensive. Poker is a game of skill with the element of luck (chance).
I used to try to explain that, but it's useless. They keep believing that poker is all about luck (probably inspired from movies) . When I say "when we go outside, the chances of seeing a real dinosaur are 50/50: we'll see it or we won't see it", they reply "don't be ridiculous". They can't even understand sarcasm.
Now I'm not trying to explain it anymore, I just agree with being the "lucky guy" and ignore them. But it's still offending my feelings towards poker. They don't understand the concept of the game, and I can't blame them.

I think i was at least 10 or more times in this position in PLO just from the beginning of the year lol
Still, if you reraise preflop and you hit the nuts trips on flop, and the villain continue to reraise it's clear you need to go all in. I guess this is variance

Only if you play several hours every day for months its not a game of luck...in the short run its almost all luck

I guess you shouldn’t beat that hard with your head in this case. Still in pre-flop, when taking the decision of going all-in with QQ, you know what hands may be above you in that situation. Getting two calls you immediately should realize you happen to get that great hand at the same time others also got extremely good hands. In most cases, I guess you would be seeing someone with AK or AQ giving the call, but in this specific case, someone happened to have KK. That mean you’re already behind pre-flop. The flop put you back in first, but the turn turned the situation. Not a bad beat, not a bad move, it just happens…
Congrats on cashing...must agree with this not being a bad beat, the board beat you here. Don't think too many are laying down KK pre or even AK. Y'day cracked AA at a cash table with 79s...flopped two pair. Wud'nt even have been in the hand...buddy min raised his rockets pre flop then decided to jam on the turn and river. Needless to say they played that hand the worst way possible.
