So I downloaded this WinnerPoker thing... Got to the registration part where they ask for a cell phone number. I don't have a cell phone so I just left it blank and filled out the rest of the registration. Got to the point where you hit next, then a little pop-up appears telling me to enter a valid cell number!!!!????
So I click OK and try again....same thing.... Cannot go any farther without a cell number...
So I enter in her cell number.... Same thing again.... 'Please enter a valid cell number'
Okay......? I did,....wtf's the problem.....
So I do it again,....same thing again.... enter a valid cell number...
So I try ALL kinds of things... numbers,....dashes......0000000s....
Still won't allow me to finish the process.....
So I say,....'Screw this crap' and shut down my computer for the night....
This morning I fire up my computer,.... Hit my IE shortcut to bring up my homepage,....and suddenly I get these pop ups about some 'Script Helper' stuff asking to allow or don't allow....
So I click 'Don't'.... It dissappears and pops back up instantly,.... I do the same again,....it instantly pops up again along with another one about Adobe Flash....
So I'm clicking and clicking and clicking and clicking and clicking and FUCKING clicking these things to NOT ALLOW.
By this time I'm thinking something's gotten into my computer. I figure something to do with the WP download.
So then I try to remove THAT,... Took about 3 tries to successfully get THAT out!
I go back to get the pass word for the BrM freeroll....
Damn things keep popping back up... Allow,....Don't allow.....
So I run my Spybot Search and Destroy...and it comes up with a 'Malware' program by the name of
PTech
...which has something to do with that WinnerPoker program....
So I remove THAT and then do an AVG scan..... Nothing comes up.

If there is no prefix for the mobile number you can put the same number as your land line. Sites dont have a problem with that and the process goes out smoothly. And if they ask about after the registration tell them to do a security check with your land line.
Try using 1 area code number no spaces. If that doesn't work try 01 area code number no spaces. One of these should work...don't have a cell phone either...use my daughters number.

That Winner download REALLY screwed up my computer...
Now when I go to my eBay sign in page,...something pops up telling me that some program is trying to run through Silverlight.Configurations.exe and asks whether to 'Run' or 'Don't Allow',....and then the whole computer freezes up. I can't even x out the page...Clicking on Don't Allow does nothing,....then I have to shut down and restart to get rid of it....
Now I can't access my eBay to do my biz on THERE...

1. Just read on another poker forum about there being extremely malicious malware imbedded in the winnerpoker exe software and
2. It also comes witha spyboy program which they claim is for their security programs to make sure you are not trying to cheat.
The guys on the other site was flipping out. He claimed that his Ebay and moneybookers accounts have both been compromised in the last few days and that he got a email from his paypal informing him about his password change request.
A couple other people had similar horror story's. All three of them claimed the only way they could fix the problem was to do complete computer hard drive formats and then reload all their programs. It was after reading these emails I decided not to even bother trying out the site. I have gotten into the habit of going onto 3 different poker forums to investigate every new poker site I consider trying out. I know it has save me from a lot of grief.
You do not want to hear this but I think you are going to do a hard format and reload everything. The systems IT tech guy had too and you know them boys usually know there stuff.

Well now you got me wondering Ronin....
If it specifically gathers info from your computer for things like eBay, PayPal, and Moneybookers,...it makes me wonder if it's just a front for fraud artists looking to burn people...
Do any of you guys who's hooked up there have any problems with their Moneybookers or other accounts elsewhere...?

Best advice is to go to CNet. click on the download tab....in the search window type in Search Everything...download and install this program. When you run it. it will list every file in your computer. Type in Winner and every file that has the word Winner in your computer will be listed. Next, right click on one file at a time and delete every file in turn. Then, open your Recycle Bin and delete all. This program works for me every time and has saved my computer many times. If it's in there this will help you to remove it. As a matter of fact that's how it was removed from my computer yesterday....GL
Btw for some reason stopped the install because of a gut feeling...go figure.

Thanks for that flyboy! I'll try that.
Interesting this.... So I go to Microsoft.com to see about malicious software removal tools. I find something to click on to download a tool. As soon as I click on THAT!....BAM
That little Silverlight window thingy pops up again....and my computer freezes up again...
So this crafty little malware also prevents you from downloading something for removing it...

Evil little thing I tells ya....Pure Evil....
Let me know how you get along...to get your computer back up there will be two more steps to complete, one will fix your registry and the other will completely defrag your system...can take up to two hours so grab a coffee. Will be here most of the night.
