I'm so sick of min cashing in tourneys on pokerstars. I would trade in all of them for just 1 win I've changed my game up a few times at the later stages, around the bubble and when in the money, but I just can't seem to get really deep. It's pissing me off now lol

Well, I totally know how you feel. I am in the exact same situation. Doing not too bad, making some small cashes, but never going really deep in a tourney. Guess I have to learn more about tourney play for sure.

Good luck on and off the felts all [/QUOTE]
G'day Bullet
Well mate
If you arch your back when thrusting forward in a slight upward motion you might be able to go deeper. You might also try using some leverage to brace you feet on, so as to support you lower legs, which could allow you to use more of your leg strength as well. Perhaps however you should just change positions and lay on your back with your partner mounting you instead, then gravity can help her get the desired deep depth which you are having trouble with.
Oh wait maybe you meant deep into tournament money.
umm never mind this message, i think I might have misunderstood the question
For the record though, if you are willing to assume a little personal risk position 19 of the Karma Sutra is actually possible

I know the feeling. Some times it is meant to happen. I mean watching all of your cards evevn the ones you fold not winning a sngle hand, and the only way to get some more chips is by bluffing. But this isnt the gamem you cant bluff you way till first place. You need good cards also

I won some tourneys on PS and Party and got a final table many times in 200+ fields. But i must say you have to have some luck winning tournaments...i have had luck in almost every win.I know people dont like to hear it because they think if they get better they win tourneys. This isnt intirely true because if you never win the crucial races then you just wont win. Even if you get your money in good almost the whole time people can still suck out.
Btw i think you have enough knowledge to figure out if your game needs improvement. You just havent got lucky enough to win a tournament i think.
Its not ALL luck off course and good players always have a better chance but good players still need luck to win tournaments.

aye, i know what you are talking about there Bullet mate,i've been one hand away from really decent cash outs and it's so frustrating, you know if you win this hand and you are up to top 3 or even the FT with a good payout and what happens. Most times i've been in the lead and got beat, but it don't seem to matter as i just can't get by that final hurdle at the moment. chin up mate i'm sure you will do it soon.
well, if your good enough to make it to the money, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to get to the final table soon or later... Maybe should'nt you change your game that much when your getting in the money. Depending on the kind of tourney your making, there might still be a long way to go to make it to 1st place . Patience and discipline might be the only thing I can tell you but I'm pretty sure you'll make it throught soon or later. Don't give up

That's pretty sick... wonder why pokerstars don't allow the players who play good to win what they deserv and let all the fish and noobs to win the MTT... and give a lot of bad beats to good players... never saw a PRO lose with quads on flop because the adversar make a royal/straight flush on the river or a higher quads...

Same story here ...I have so many late finishes ... but with crappy payouts ...that it just makes me sick.....my most recent one was in the big 11 $ .... with a decent stack...losing with K K , against K A ... on a pokerstars magic river...the other guy hitting runner runner straight....with him calling ridicilous bets all the way....so don't really know what to tell you.. just that u need some crazy luck ... cause I've seen people .. playing for 5-6 hours...and shoving crap like 7 10 ... with good stacks...and later go on winning the damn thing..

Been there,...done that.... It's always nice to get deep into the cash,....but I'm happy with ANY amount I win! Better to win SOME,...than to play for 3 hours and lose your buy in...!
never made TOO many final tables before,...but THAT is always a nice feeling...!

I think your problem is that you dont have the will or detrmination to go deeper than you do...... with perseverence, and the use of Ronin's advice, you can go even deeper than knacker deep! Its just a case of do you want to or believe that you can.
Its all about the preparation and not just waiting for the moment when you hit the money. You should be working on going deep right from the off and taking every opportunity to get in there at the right time and aiming on staying in there.
As they say, practice makes perfect and a little concentration on the right parts of the play makes for a better outcome.

My sugestion won't please you because it goes against your intentions. I guess this things that are happening recently to your game are a consequence of you being playing a lot and dedicating a lot to the game, in a more specific and concentrated way. You like the Gold, you want to keep it, but you will have to learn to deal with the pressure of having downswings and keep at the tables. I don't know how you can do that, but that must be what pros do, after all we ear about so big sums of money and they keep there day after day. GL mate!
