In order to attempt my next challenge on June 8th (4 Zoom NLH 1/2 tables for 24 hours), I need to get up to about $50 in bankroll. So I'll be aiming to win my $1.88 up to that by then.
Anywhere over $30 and I'll do it - but $50 is the ideal aim. To reach my target, I'll be playing a few low buy-in MTTs and I'll post my progress on here.
------------ Bankroll $1.88
Played $1.10 NL Hold'em, 1.5K Gtd 3,001 entries Finished 278th Won $1.62
good luck with your plan you85 hope you do well.what site are you playing on. i think i need to stop playing cash games and try SNG of MTT again. i have done my best in MTT .

Thanks jomull. I'll be playing on pokerstars as it is imo easily the best site. And thanks too heskor - I'm playing MTTs because I think they are best suited to my patient, tight aggressive style of play, and they are also what I've got the best record in in the past... And going back to jomull's point, while I think it's important to learn and improve on all formats, you should really stick to what you're good at most of the time...
Btw, next tourney I'll play is the $1.10 2.5k that starts pretty soon.

With the 1.10$ tournaments you play and the bankroll you have at the moment it might be a little hard to reach your goal. You will need to be a little lucky at first and hit the money to afford future losses without hitting 0. gl with your goal

Yeah Mober, that is very true. After not cashing in my latest tourney, I will have to try my luck on some cheap live tables to up my bankroll - so I know I could very well hit 0 before long... but even if I do, I'll hit the freerolls hard and start over.

I think it can be done, but there's a lot of badbeats to get through when playing MTT's. It's to bad there's not some $0.30 buyin SnG's 9 to 18 player. I really think one could excel in that area if so. But hey! Good luck on your goal!

Your bankroll is very low for sure, but if you're lucky in the beginning it can be done. But instead of playing MTT's you could consider playing Double or Nothings or STT's.
It's much easier to get in the money but you have to play very patiently. It's no use of risking your entire stack in the beginning. Your main goal should be not to get eliminated. A player with 10 chips left gets the same money as the chip leader.
But it's up to you, some people love to play MTT's and hate DON's.

From playing a few freerolls, I have twice got my bankroll up to about $1.20, only to lose it again soon after...
I cashed in a BankrollMob freeroll for $0.06 and played 3 $0.02 990 people Hyper Turbos. Came out of the money in one, bottom rung of the money in another for $0.10 and 8th in the other for $0.50... Would've been more if this hand had played out as it should -

Now really, the 66 should have pushed to isolate preflop, and I would have obviously folded and maintained my good stack. After that - I have no idea how he decided he was infront in that situation, but hey... I guess it's to be expected from a $0.02 tourney. I just had a REALLY strong feeling he was sitting on a K9/K10/KJ or something like that.
So anyway, $0.60 now to work with. I have 2 Weekly Round 2 entries that I'll use this weekend... but getting $50 before Saturday is looking unlikely.
------------ Putting virtually all my eggs in one basket (55 of my 60 eggs anyway) and playing the hot $0.55 now. (It's a big basket).
