G'day mate
I just sent you the promised $10 for the tournament amigo. Which gets us up and running Looking forward to playing poker with our fellow mobsters once again. Not sure yet but I might be able to donate a little more into the prize pool, it will depend on how thing go over the next couple days. I just decided to get my Goldstar VIP status back on PStars so I must properly manage my bankroll. Think I will start a thread on how my quest to once again reclaim my Goldstar progresses. be cool mates best of luck to us all.

I would play them if they didn't have ridiculously long blind levels/starting stack, but for this reason i refuse to play them again. I hate people who just sit there waiting for aces, its not skill its gayness.
well thats a personal choise m8 i enjoy the fact that it isnt a all in tournament right from the start but we actually play some poker m8 but hey if u dont want to or are scared of some aces its your choice

No I'm not assed i just don't like people who don't play any hands except aces etc. The setup of this tourney basically encourages them to do that. I would just like a bit more pressure on everyone in the tourney, not necessarily a shove fest. I'm not into playing for 5 hours to beat 30 or so people. Anyone who thinks im scared of aces is either full of s**t or doesnt have a clue about me, last time i played i shoved with 72 against kk. BECAUSE I DON'T GIVE A S**T. So put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Ok Pochui .... 5 dollar sent ( just add it with pricemoney) hope to be able to send some more soon..
@ sadamman I respect ur decision, as U have every right not to like certain formats. On the othere hand I want to point out that this game is more then just poker. Its a chance to be seated with the people from the forum. Last time I had a very nice evening and I had the chance to have a (direct) conversation with my BRM buddies. I think these tournaments are a good way to improve the community here.
and btw I think there are better things to put in ur pipe

I can see where you're coming from but the point is Stars is awash with 1500 starting stack 5 minute blind games for $1.10. We are offering something that Stars don't offer.

Yeah but 5k starting stack 10 mins blinds is way too long for me. Its 2 hours before its shove or fold, just with the starting stacks. Nevermind people who get a double up in that time. People in sweatshops in china get more value for the time.

I tend to agree. Not that I mind it taking long, or that the $/hour is too low. But it is a bit disconcerting that the top 5 will have one or more people that were just sitting out for the duration of the tournament...

You might have missed the point of what I was trying to accomplish here. Simply put I wanted a nice calm relaxed blind structure so people would be able to just have a little fun and time to play some good poker. The real point to this tournament is to allow us a chance to sit down at a poker table together with our fellow mobsters and chat and joke with each other. The money and bounty was just added to spice things up a little. Some people can not have a good time without a cash prize to aim for so I provided something. be cool mate and I wish you all the best in your chosen games.

True enough but it's all down to your reason for playing. If it's for the social aspect and a bit of fun then it good. If you're there to make profit then you're in the wrong place.

You're just misinterpreting a fair point, its not only money. Just that money is also a factor. I would put money in the prizepool and bounty on my head also. For people to call me bluffing on 72. I don't give a s**t about money i have a job, I'm not a mingebag. But i won't do it unless there is some sort of compromise. I enjoy banter with you guys as much as anyone. But i'd be lying if i said i didn't want to win.
------------ 15 min blind levels 3k starting stack (the setup for most normal speed mtts on stars) is pretty much the same as 5k 10 mins.

ok a little bit of explanation regarding structure: over the time i have organized tourneys on the rigged place we have kind of found the "perfect" structure which allows enough relaxed play at the start of the tourney: chit-chat, or the chance to show up late 30 min or so...that structure was used in Christmas/Easter homegames and is 3000 starting stack & 10 min blinds. last time (brm easter homegame) we had 47 entrants & it took 3h 19 min to finish the tourney...which means it takes ~2h to reach the final table, which is fair deal imo. now this time tourney was proposed by Ronin & he offered the structure- i personally don't care a lot about it, since i only play brm tourneys for the chance to meet the fellow brm'ers, have some chat, change the atmosphere from the regular "fcuk you", "suck my...". of course structure can be changed but we should all agree, and Ronin's word is final here. i don't see any point in making blinds shorter, since next lowest amount you can go is 5 min, which is a bit too quick imo...but i'm open to suggestions.

fair point- if you look for value, then i doubt that homegames is the place to be...but actually all the donations & bounties do make this tourney +ev regardless of the structure

Posted by nipitiri3: as i understand theres 1.10 buy in pretty sure not gonna be 47 entrants ya know better ofcourse
i have no idea how many will show up, but i guess ~20 max...(of course a lot depends on how much extra moola we will collect)
