Its the usual with Omaha. The moment the board gets a pair and you have the nuts, with flush or straight,you get beaten by the full on river. Its a real pain but what can you do.

pokerstars is by far the worst site i ever played on.
predictable software,heavy gamblers and your stone cold nuts in the flop get cracked on the turn and smashed on the river. you get KK on the small blind and everybody before you folds???guess what the bb has been dealt? yesterday's best joke: pocketcards:QJ suited and after a 4-bet 3players go to the flop flop:QJQ. i raise,get re-raised and after another 4-bet i push all-in.1 player follows, the other one folds(10 10 he told me afterwards).
let's see the showdown:i show my full house Q's over J's against his two pair: Q's and his pocket 2's. better odds to win are almost impossible but playingat jokerstars is something special. turn:2
that moment i knew it was all over for me and i didn't even want to see the river because i knew what was waiting for me......same s... different day

Mober, thats a really good point you mentioned there, i mean when someone keep paying your bets and you have nuts str8 or flush the villain definately has trips or weaker ones two pairs.
OP, try out 888poker for omaha, i made some nice profits there

If you don't want the swings of Omaha, go for Omaha Hi/Lo IMO. When I started 5 months ago on Pokerstars, I forgot about Hi/Lo and went for the regular Omaha first, and boy it was a painful mistake. Went down something like $70 in couple of days, with limits 0.02/0.05. And I didn't even play bad. It was just a bad beat after a bad beat after a bad beat. Then I thought to myself: why the f*** did I chose Omaha and not Omaha Hi/Lo. Since then my bankroll is only growing / or staying even. In Hi/Lo u have a kind of "protection" against those fishes, if u have nuts low or high. Picking the right spots u are already 'guaranteed' for a split-pot at least...

Like i have previous said and like rafiko i only started winning when i decided to play Omaha h/l. Not doing good with holdem and all my winnings so far from ring games are from Omaha h/l only. If i stick to holdem and cant be extremely lucky, my bankroll will get vanished in a flash
