PokerStars Russian Donkey Festival ============================================================
Hi Mobsters,
This is my report from yesterday:
I decided to make an experiment. I played 12 hours at the PokerStars cash tables $0.02/$0.04 - Fixed Limit Texas Hold'em and I decided to play every hand I had, no matter what it is until the river. All the tables were fulled with Russians so, I had no choice.
I played at a table fulled with Russians. I decided to play like them, like a complete donkey, with no sence and logic at all. I played every hand until the river. Almost never folded. I think for 12 hours I folded just twice. And look what happened:
Well, this is my story from yesterday guys. I hope you like it. I think this is the only way to play against Russians, because they bluff like crazy and never stop bluffing!
Usually I don’t play like that. If the players were from other countries I would fold most of the hands, but these Russians made me to do it!
I will be glad if you comment the hands, which are interesting to you. Have I played right against those Russians?

well that's all rosy and cool, but now comes the main question: "did you make any money on the night?"
yeah probably it's quite a bit of fun to play this way, really no stress whatsoever (if you have money to spare), just keep you finger on the raise/call button...still a bit short on the real russian roulette- u need to raise/reraise any hand u have to qualify for the "russian club" imo

Hahaha, pochui you are right! I made automatic options for call, raise and reraise buttons! I hope soon I will qualify for the "russian club" and I will have a guarantee seat for that club!
Well, the yesterday play was more like a casino slot machines play It was really fun to see the reactions of those Russians! I entered with $5 at these tables, after 6 hours I made almost $20 and now comes the answer to your main question: After playing 6 hours more I lost the money!
But the experince was quite excited! One player from Lithuania told me: "Thanks Ivanov for sharing your chips with us".

I watched many of you replays and you got very lucky indeed. Too bad you blew it all away later. You should have called it a day after winning the 20$. Good luck on your next sessions, like the one you had on your replays

Another excelent thread Peter and i guess you basically proved what is important: that style of play makes you a losing player over a long period of time!
The only thing that these russians do is to ruin the game really. Still i also saw very good russian players but they are an exception.

It is always the same, the maicas at the tables crushing your good hands. In the lower levels or in freerolls you play every time vs. 3-4 other Maics with your premium Hands and get suckouts. It is unbelievable, how often you loose against donk Hands at the river.

I am convinced that Russians have nothing more than giant cabbage rolls for brains,....floating in a medium of vodka and tomato sauce! It is absolutely INCREDIBLE how some of those hands got played!
I played like an idiot like that for about a week on the PS/BrM leaderboard,...and skyrocketed to the top. THEN I tightened up to protect what I had gained,....and haven't gained much since...
Maybe those Russians know something we don't...
This guy in this hand here I was in MUST be a Russian immigrant to Canada...:

Afcourse you will not have luck in every hand but do you know , I READ ABOUT THIS ON OTHER SITE ABOUT LOOK THIS SHOVED BULGARIAN player... we shoved him with his best hand in the tournament I thik its ironic to say who you play agianst and NATIONS TE BE METONED! Play your game , put replay if you want to share but dont call NATION DONK , call player by name.

you know the thing that scares me most is that you were showing a very decent profit at one stage- i guess some more sessions with similar play style are necessary to make a weighed statement, but it looks like you can actually record a profit by playing this uber loose way- u just need to get up from the tables when you're in the green
well really ,it is not just about Russians and donk winnings,it is about PS poker software who have nothing in common with " Have fun while challenging your logical thinking skills".Simply, for example;in real life ,a) against any individual random hand, AA will win 85% of the time, b)Against a full table of random hands, AA will win under 30% of the time.c)2-7 off-suit is 12.4% to win the hand and 0.4% to chop. This drops to 10.9% and 0.5% respectively if the suits match those of the pocket aces.d) JT suited was the best vs AA preflop. ....but on PS a) THAT IS NOT THE CASE!!, People just realize that 72 offsuit is going to beat Pocket Aces much more than life regular 11 or 12 percent of the time b)anyone can make any idiot call in any time and get nuts against AA,and that can happened VERY OFTEN! c) Out of position they will bet into a raised pot with what turned out to be 42 off. Normally y'd put it down to your box standard online crazy raiser, but when the flop came down 448 you began to wonder how inspired his reraise really was. d)...on turn and river can also come another 4 and 2 ,very often!

What's the difference between a Canadian and yogourt ? At least the yogourt has its own culture.
