I think the tip not to gamble with money you cant afford to lose is a good one. You make better decisions when you are not risking everything on a turn of a card and to do so is folly

In cash games I cant think that I have ever had a downswing where I have lost more than 30 buyins in a row. Ive had 20 buyin downswings and long breakeven stretches but I have never experienced massive huge downswings. The reason for this is partly because I am awesome but also because the variance in cash games is less.

In MTT’s its quite easy to go on a 30 buyin downswing. The reason for this is for a variety of reasons, but most of all its because all the money in tournaments is weighted towards the top few places. If your playing tournaments with large fields its quite easy to go 30 tournaments without getting a final table cash, so you need to make sure you have an adequate bankroll to absorb this swings.

best advice ive heard in a while. you should never put your house at a risk! your car, maybe, ok thats fine but not your house. Always keep that on mind, young mobbets. or whatever that new word was.

speaking of which, i think selling your car to fund your poker br is better than using all that money to buy a pair of shoes Big Smile

G'day mate

Well I think the guy who sold his car to buy a pair of nike's is a complete degenerate who does not even deserve a family. His family should be the most important thing in his life, not a pair of damn sneakers. That dude is a total loser in my opinion.
How can someone justify hurting their children that way.
I do not even have a family, I am alone and would kill to have been blessed with a family to call my own. I would never treat them like that.
be cool
