I think only a mobster from greece could confirm if this is true or not but frankly i would love if there is a way not to pay abussive poker taxes to a gov(any gov)
On another note if that is not possible it's pretty suspicious why there are only greek players registered there since that is a public tournament.

oooh my friend, there is lot of holes not to pay taxes to the gov atleast try not to pay! back in the days when poker should have been taxed, moneybookers was a good solution of course I did pay every tax that was possible because I am a good citizen ! or wait a minute?

TNSTNS was right in his first post. Its about the limits with taxation, and they are probably trying to avoid the daily limit, to pay less. What will happen is that, at some point they will unregister from that tourney and they will do so, in a day with no winnings probably to drop the rate.

Posted by TNSTNS: Greeks have a law that everyday if they win money they have to pay some taxes and pokerstars has to take money from them if the bankroll is going higher then 100d per day winning.. so this way they dont have to pay taxes or not all of them I doubt that they will be even playing this tournament atleast not all of them
That's a very smart thinking of you, and should be the correct reason, recognize a few names on the list. On a losing day (I know at least gkap and talentaki play mid/highstakes, probably more of them) of $400+ they can just unregister and didn't pay any taxes for it

Hello fellow mobsters,
I have good news for you! Very soon a PokerStars representative will join our BankrollMob forum and will make an official statement about this tournament!
The first thread "WTF?" at The BankrollMob forum created by pochui, will receive an official answer personally from PokerStars Support.
I hope they will be monitoring The BankrollMob threads realed to PokerStars and they will answer personally to your queries. Do you remember last year Josh from 24h Poker how joined our forum and helped the mobsters who had problems with the bonuses?
Well, now PokerStars will have their representative here! Don't thank me! You are welcome!
If you have some very qood ideas related to PokerStars, then you should write them here:

If you register in that tournament, you will recieve a citizenship and you can live forever in Greece...
Even if you don't want it, they will transform you into greek... Once you become a greek, you want other people to be greek, so you start attacking people, just like zombies.
I saw it in the movie, the one Brad Pitt was starring, World War G.
Just stay away from them.
